Out if curiosity, how much money do you tend to take out with you to the car boot sale? I tend to bring all of my loose change totalling up to around a tenner, and then an extra ten pound note just in case i see something i really want :)

I wouldn't want to miss out on anything so, just in case, I always take at least £100:o
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155

You all seem to be really lucky at boot sales. I went to my local one last week and didn't get a thing. The Yoker car boot sale is really bad, its always tat every week :( Wish I was getting half the bargains you are all getting lol :)

Thanks for that, won't bother going there. :) Don't get a chance to dig about at bootsales as OH likes his lie-ins at the weekends but I do love my charity shops. (Although the ones here are a bit mince.) While since I had a good rummage- will need to make the effort some day! x

Well the first time we went I had around £40 with us but yesterday I bought £30 with me and ended up reserving a bag of clothes and rushing off to a atm as I didn't have enough on me, I won't make that mistake again and will make sure I have at least £45

yesterday was a great day for it, great weather and the place was buzzing with people!

I picked up a bag of clothes from a lady, 10 items for £26 mostly topshop dresses, my favorite item was a £2 red polka dot dress by Reko it rrps at £55 but doesn't fit well so it might go on eBay, a £4 sequin bow dress from topshop, I had been eyeing this up but for £65 I was a bit hesitant to buy it so I'm so happy, and lots of other bits that look new :-)

I also got a cute vintage navy handbag with a huge button on it for £1, new leather handbag for £3, 4 piece bag, shoes and 2 bangle from the "gold by giles deacon" collection for new look for £15

My brother picked up final fantasy 7 on ps1 for £3 it's the special edition one that comes with 3 discs, he's going to put it on eBay, the case is cracked though :-(

Was a great day looking forward to my next on in a few weeks

I usually have £50, I don't often spend it all but I like to know it's there if I spot that unmissable bargain...for instance at a boot sale a young couple lifted a condenser tumble dry out of their van, they said it was left in the house they'd just moved into but as they already had one they were getting rid of it. Looked new to me, I took a chance and paid £30, it worked perfectly and is still running two years later:j. They retail at over £200, I'd been shopping around for a while but couldn't afford to buy new.

Can you get hold of another case for it and just slot the insert in? I used to work at Blockbuster and we did this for customers all the time, mostly the cases are generic black plastic ones. Go into a branch of Blockbuster and I bet they'll give you a case for free!
