It sure is - thats my real job. Ebay started as a hobby and is now part of my full time job. I love itBUT there are still loads of bargains to be had as most staff in the shops are not trained and miss many valuable items. My staff are trained though as I train them. The big chains have less bargains in store and in my opinion overcharge anway

I love reading this thread, people get some fantastic bargains
I once got a Pippa / Dawn doll in a box of other dolls I had bought for a friends daughter from the car boot. She didn't want this little doll (preferring the Barbies) as it was in a sorry state - only one and a half legs and a hair cut.
I stuck it on ebay at a 99p start, thinking someone might need an arm or something for repairs to one of theirs, and I was swamped with questions. In the end, it sold for £97  Apparently the lady who bought it told me it was really rare and had it been in good condition, it would have been worth well over £250.
Popped in the charity shop today to drop some stuff off and picked up a Kipling purse and large Kipling bag for £1.500 -
kipling bad and purse £1.50! i am so jealous lol0

i can't believe what i'm missing out!!! am now completely hooked onto this thread and will be going to my first PROPER car boots sale this weekend. ;)Thanks to everyone who posts their buys..its given me a really good idea on what kind of things you can actually find!
I used to go with my parents trudging along behind them, not knowing what really good finds there are actually there!:p
THANK YOU!!!:beer:0 -
I spent all morning searching (and working of course!) for a boyfriend style blazer, I finally found an OK one on ASOS for £55 and placed an order for it. On my lunch I popped into a charity shop to drop off some books and had a quick nosy at the clothing, and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my perfect blazer!! It was £16 by designer Christian Lacroix, perfect tailored fit in my size, beautiful print inside which looks great when i roll my sleeves up and a complete bargain, his pieces go for £500+ on net-a-porter!! I couldn't believe it, I also got a vintage tan leather for £7. I canceled my ASOS order as I have an even better jacket and a bag for half the price I would have originally spent. I'm thrilled! :rotfl:
I might be heading of to a car boot sale on Sunday so fingers crossed I get some good bits0 -

It depends if you would spot a designer piece easily I guess - if you know your stuff it would be easier to spot. Usually you would have to have a good rummage although if the seller knew what they had they might hang it up rather than stick it in a box of bag along with all their other clothes.
I have found better bargains having a good old rummage and thats the best part when you find something special at the bottom of a box which everyone else has missedNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550
