This thread is absolutely fantastic, Jazmine!
I love visiting it, to be honest I love looking at other people's bargains nearly as much as finding my own.
I'm glad that the thread is still going and hope it lives for a long time.

My weekend bargains include:
A lovely pair of Dafna boots, barely worn. Probably worth around £25 - I got for £1.
Various CDs, one of which I got for 50p which may very well go for around £40 on Ebay with any luck.
I love car boots - I wish I'd done them earlier. Would have saved a lot of money.0 -

Old (slightly tatty) Radley shoulder bag - bought for £5 from the charity shop (they wanted £8, but I threw in a couple of bits of Poole crockery I had kicking around, and they were happy to deal!) - sold it on Ebay as vintage - it was big enough to put a laptop in, and the buyer was delighted to pay £64.
Bought a pressure cooker at the tip for 50p, sold it on ebay for £80!!!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
I am quite new to this thread but have a question, it seems some of you get bargains for youself while others do it to sell on ebay and such like.
Those of you who sell on ebay, say for every 1 item you make a good profit on how many do end up stuck with or making a loss on?
How do you know what to go for basically? I may try it but get the feeling I will just end up with a load of rubbish I can't shift.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I have bought things to buy on e-bay, got them home only to find they are worth nothing  but after a while you begin to get to know whats worth money and what isn't. I only buy clothes in my size, my childrens size so if i can't sell them we will wear them. Also i get my OH to sit by the PC so i can get him to check items on e-bay whilst i'm at a boot sale. Part of the fun is not knowing how much the item is worth, its a bit like gambling and i get a huge rush when i see an item i have bought for 50p sell for 50 pounds (which doesn't happen often enough).
My house is full of things i pick up at bootsales for me, my family and for e-bay.0 -
