Bought my mum a Le Creuset orange casserole dish this morning, £3 from the charity shop- bargain!! I think they cost fifty quid-ish new, and she's wanted one for ages

As for Playstation games, I've sold quite a few of mine on ebay recently- most are worth nothing, but there are a surprising number that sell for lots, especially RPG games (like Final Fantasy and Discworld (these are very rare for the PC too)- but other big ones to look out for are Suikoden, Castlevania and Legend of Dragoon). Also, any that are still wrapped in their original cellophane (not sure why you'd have any like that though!) seem to sell for £50+, even for really common games

Edited to add: Also, if you're thinking of selling any video games on ebay, it's much better to offer them to overseas buyers, especially US and Europe- this seems to be where most of the collectors are, and they're willing to pay more now because of the low pound

a local charity shop has in it's window:

a Mexican pine TV unit (from about 8 year ago) - £345
    a Samsung Nicam 28" TV - a CRT, not flat-sceen - £260
a DVD player - brand obscured by price tag, quite bulky so elderly - for £60

I don't know how they expect to sell these, or even to get people into the shop, with these prices - I'm still flabbergasted!

Hope you all have a happy, successful and bargain-loaded Bank Holiday weekend!

    You mean the 4th?

There's a couple near Folkestone if you fancy a trip down the road - Hawkinge Cricket and Social Club (starts 7.30am) and Invicta FC Supporters Club on Cheriton Road (starts 7am). The Barville Farm one (on the A256 nr Dover) is also having a boot sale on Monday.

I'm an avid car boot fan but dont seem to get chance to go to many at the moment (a hubby that works shifts and a five year old and five month old probably have something to do with that).

I think my best ever buy was a Le Crueset saucepan set for £5.00. When I asked how much the only saucepan on the stall one was and said I would have it the lady said I will get the rest of the set for you! Two large and one small saucepan with lids unused for £5.00.
