Yesterday I got a g tech 2009 model with the attachable duster for £8, these are selling around £40, it is brand new in the box and even has the polythene wrapping on the pieces. Never been used.
I also got a lovely coin shaped tiger eye necklace for 50p and it's gorgeous.

:j yes thanks ThriftyBelle for starting the thread....its great and i so look forward to seeing all folks bargins each week...so much more interesting and beta than 'proper' shopping!
I even stay in on a sat nite during the summer so i can get up bright n early to get to the boot sales...maybe abit extreme but i am addicted for about 4 months of the year...
    thanks again xxxxxx :j
  • 2 old watches for £5.. Doesn't sound like much, but since I've a friend whose first love is watch repairing, I pick up wind-up watches for him to use for parts. It was a ladies' and gents' dress watch pair from about the early 1970s with mesh straps.

I didn't look closely at them as the price was good - until I got home and saw the Omega marks. OK, there are a lot of fakes around... although less for windups than battery watches...

My friend has had the becks off, cheched the serial numbers and they're both genuine! Valued the ladies' at £300 and the gents' at £750.

That's adding to the alternative pension scheme!

I got '1001 uses for Vinegar' for £1 - original price £9.99 - which I think is ridiculous - but I have wanted it for ages and for £1 it was a bargain to me.

  • ThriftyBelle - Just wanted to say thanks for directing me to Battersea car boot sale, I went yesterday for the first time with my 2 younger brothers and we had a great time!! I got loads of good bits; we got some stuff to put on eBay and kept a lot more for myself. Highlights were a DKNY bag for £5 (I think my brother FredT mentioned this earlier), new Topshop and H&M vest tops for 50p each, a cute round hat box which I adore for £4.

I will definately be back there, very very soon!!
