OMG what a fantastic thread :j

Well I'm known as Queen of Bargains to family and friends :D
I very rarely by anything from "normal" shops anymore as I just LOVE charity shops... My budget stretches so much further and I can buy stuff that I wouldn't normally be able too.

Today for instance, I managed to get my daughter a practically brand new play kitchen for £5 which included loads of extras that wouldn't of originally come with it :j
As well as a Karen Millan dress, Topshop cardigan and River Island bag all for 50p each :j Fortunately I am in my mid 20's and live in an area with the population being mostly older folk so the kind of stuff I tend to buy is usually the stuff left on the sale rail :rotfl:

If I add up a typical days outfit then its usually cost less than £5 :T

OMG I am in love with this thread!!! How sad :o

Ooh and I bought a Per Una Cardigan from a bootsale for £2 which if I'm honest was just far too posh for me and so I put it on ebay and it sold for £60  That was on a 99p starting bid and I only wanted the £2 back that I paid for it :o I still feel guilty to this day :o

You've all inspired me to go to the car boot on Saturday, I bet I struggle to find anything decent to sell on!

Crikey £60 for a Per Una cardigan is a lot!

I bought a lovely vintage dress a few weeks ago for £4 but it looked horrible on me and I was really disappointed. So I put it on ebay as I can't wear it and it sold this evening for £52

    ...every cloud :)

You must get there early for all the decent stuff and you must stay all day right till the very end for sellers reducing stuff to get rid :D And remember to dig deep!!!

Hope you find something great :)

    Very impressive profit!

Yep, I was totally shocked... This is an identical one but it didn't sell for as much, must of been the run up Christmas that these crazy people wanted it for- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-PER-UNA-FAN-CARDIGAN-12-14-BNWOT-Long-Greys-Stripe_W0QQitemZ110373333620QQcmdZViewItemQQptZWomen_s_Clothing?hash=item110373333620&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A13%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

Don't feel guilty, everyone's happy, the person who sold it for £2 got what she wanted, you almost got a nice cardy to wear, the person who paid £60:eek: must have been delighted too. That's how I got started selling bits on Ebay, bought a Monsoon jumper at a boot sale for myself, it looked horrible on me, put it in Ebay and it sold for £26...I couldn't believe it. I still sell odds and ends occasionally, I'll pick up something at a boot sale, wear it once then sell it on,sometimes I only make a few quid but sometimes it'll go for more and funds my next trip to the boot sale;)

Great read, but loads of these bargains are women's clothes. While i'm pretty mercenary about what I'd buy to sell on, but I'd feel self conscious rooting through a load of women's clothes and handbags!

I bought some brown leather shoes from House of Fraser for £25 in a sale for my wedding, they were a size too small, but I thought they'd be ok for the day. By the end of the night they were killing me, so I packaged them back up in their paper wrapping and box etc and listed them as 'worn once' on ebay. Sold for £49 plus postage! Can't remember the make, an Italian name of some kind but definitely not a major designer.

Another good buy was a star wars lego kit sealed in it's box from a charity shop, bought for £2.80, sold for £28!

I also bought some hardbock horror books (all the same title and writer) from a charity shop for £1 simply because they were so different from all the other crap books sold in charity shops. Turned out they were limited editions from a writer well regarded in the horror genre. Sold them all to a horror dealer for about £15.
