I trawled the charity shops on Saturday morning as the local car boot is next weekend - slim pickings until the last, a Save the Children that doesn't open regularly. I got in at 11.45, the volunteers had decided to close at noon, and I emerged with a great 1960s evening dress (and a mink stole to go with it!) for £5.
Currently I'm wearing another charity shop purc hase - a 1970s Rotary wind-up ladies watch. Keeps perfect time, cost £2, and I'll never need to buy a watch battery!0 -
