Good grief, I must go to the wrong boot sales
All I ever find is piles of unsold items where people want £10 for a hardback Terry Pratchett book 'because it's rare, oh yea, only several million ever published :rotfl:
tatty prams with wheels missing, Primark clothes at £1 a piece when they probably only cost that new, shoes I wouldn't even donate to a charity shop as I'd be too ashamed.

I'm planning on doing my first ever as the seller in a few weeks and judging by some of the sellers there on Saturday my stall will be the Harvey Nics of teh car boot!! :rotfl:0 -
i brought an original louis vuitton small hand bag last week on a local car boot, straight on ebay started bidding at £10 and was asked to end early and sell for £60 delivered..i only paid £2.00 for the bag,and yes it is genuine....0

ooo this is such an interesting thread!
I pop into charity shops every now and then, the best thing I have bought was a karen millen dress, I was eyeing it up in the stores last year but was far too expensive at £150!! But managed to snap one up at £25, not a complete bargain but i did love the dress and I have also bought a vintage cape which i wore all winter for £5...I haven't been to a car boot sale before. Are there any good ones in London?? I find that some of the charity shops in my area are quite pricey, I saw a karen millen top going for £39, it had original tags on for £45...

thank-you
well i always go to the carboot sale in battersea, near where battersea tech college is. it is pretty good and always busy, but there will probably never be the bargains like buying vintage shoes for 20p and such
gosh, charity shops around my area are pretty pricey too, and they are constantly selling primark clothes more expensive then they actually are in primark. though, saying that, there is a little charity shop near my house which often has some lovely clothes in. my best bargains from that charity shop is a zara cashmere and silk cardi for 50p, and a brand new paisley new look dress for £4

Welcome to the forums pinkclanger - I too love hearing about all the bargains
thanks for the welcome, i love hearing about all folks bargins, i've been carbootin for years now n hav got some fab bargins over the time, i think one of the best buys was a nearly new pair of rocket dog biker boots for £4, but unfortunally they were to small for me so someone at work bought them off me for £40...felt abit bad takin her money but she was well chuffed as they her size n she been wantin a pair for ages n din't want to pay £80 so she was well chuffed.
i'll keep you posted with any other bargins i pick up...i love tellin folk all the money i've saved on some really good stuff which i can't usually afford to buy in the proper shops :T0 -
