if you can tell me when the bottom is fair play to you, but i dont think anyone knows the answer to that.
i dont know whether houses will fall 50%, that was a example, and im not prepared to sell mine now and take that gamble and rent, what happens if they dont fall that much?
You should know whould you be buying now if you thought houses where going to fall 50%?I am not a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as not being a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. You've already said that my house is going to drop 20% in the next 6 months, so I figured you would be able to look into your crystal ball and tell me when the bottom was going to beIt's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0 -

No you said before you was in a great postion to buy, a 20% is not really a great position to buy, you offered on your house in november, its probably lost 8% at least from then.
or is your house the only one that isnt dropping??
if your willing to take the risk take it, i prefer to hang on in there and wait, ive seen your sums before and they have been questionable.

Our house probably has dropped since we offered on it at the end of december but like I've said before, it was already priced well below the rest of the houses in that area that are for sale because the vendors want a quick sale, and so they ended up getting one. That also isn't taking into account the fact that we are planning on living there for an awfully long time so we were lucky in the fact that we managed to get a house with bags of space that is very flexible with our needs for now and the long term. It's not easy having a good time. Not sure about confused being confused but I am blooming confuzzled!
Sure I have wandered into a different reality.......We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
This is funny.
I'm so glad we moved and no longer have to deal with people like this.Been away for a while.0 -

oh and missmotivation is a estate agent how funny is that, no wonder you are upset having me tell you i think you are all !!!!!!
i would not accept any viewers at the moment, but i can understand why you lot are upset, im a seller and im not prepared to give my house away, well not yet i am.:D
Great comeback :T However, your research is a little lacking. While I don't share your apparent view that "ftb" is some sort of insult, I doubt I count as one - unless you mean because we've already sold our house and are renting? And you seem to have me Confused with someone else - no interest whatsoever in a newbuild. Having lived in period homes for the past 10+ years I've kind of got used to the high ceilings
Back to the original subject: I understand your frustration with the buying and selling process, especially in the current climate. I tend to agree with you that it's probably best to wait to move up until more vendors have accepted the reality of price falls. But with an attitude like yours, you're only going to damage the saleability of your house in the long run. Marketing it at a ridiculous price, specifically in order NOT to get any viewers and keep it on the market for as long as possible seems completely insane to meBut what do I know - I've only ever sold two houses and am now a cash buyer

Yes I am a retired EA and perhaps one of the more experienced ones on this board. You need to work out the value of having people like me and the other agents who freely give their time to try and help. We try and help others particularly those who are being shafted bythe slimy EA's around.
So your choice accpet there are some OK EA's or call all, like you called Miss Motivation, very rude things. Her posts have always been most helpful and there must be a lot of people on the board who have thought so.
You need to read the forum rules down the right hand side: -
Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
Lastly can you tell us what line of work you do, or don't do, so others may wish to sling vile abuse your way.A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.0 -
