got rid of another estate agent!!!

We have had our house on the market for 16 months later and we still havent sold, had a few viewings but not that many.

First estate agent was online called wow property, they were no good, and the so called local estate agent did not have a clue about the area, they even got the address wrong when advertising.

Second agent was the most dodgiest one, and after about a month we had a very funny viewer who could not praise how good our estate agent was, the viewer looked at 3 houses up our road and they were all with the same agent. When i confronted them about this the esate agent did not know what to say and become rather flustered, i told them imediatley they were sacked and i had only been with them for a month, the dodgy thing was she told me she had her house up with 2 estate agents, funny thing was there was no 2 houses for sale with the 2 esate agents she said she was with.

third agent was okay, but we stayed with them and they never got us one viewer, then on to the fourth, they kept on pestering us to try them and we did, he told us they have people queing up to view, guess what not one viewer.

5th agent, we have been with them the longest and they did get us a few viewers, but recently i have called them after 3 oclock and no one is there, final straw was this week when i tried calling thursday morning, and only got a answer at 11.30 after trying to call from 9am, when i got through she expained that she was on appointments, i also questioned why no one was there after 3 oclock, she said they only worked till 3 so guess what, i got rid of them aswell.

we have dropped the price of the house from 169000 to 130000 and still no interest, so now we are not sure what to do, we havent seen big drops in house prices by us.

Can i sell it myself? so the hip does not expire?

Ive had enough of estate agents.

Maybe the fact you haven't sold has something to do with you being so picky as to who you let view your home.

URL if you've given up with EA presumably you'll be going with one of the companies like houseladder...

If not, and after EAs you haven't sold you need some serious help. SO we'd need to see pics of your house to id whether you're insane on the price or whether people are insane for not wanting to snap it up straight away.

Yeah maybe so but we are not desperate to sell at the moment, and im not prepared for a load of rubber neckers coming round my house for a day out.

We was thinking of renting it out for a few years, and then selling it, the market is dead by us at the moment.

The estate agent has told us they are having a lot of enquiries from people who want to rent, but no sales.

I know the searches might need to be re done, but i think we will just hang on in thereand try and sell properly when things pick.

Houseladder is okay but it will only market it for 2 weeks, i want soemthing longer so we can just put it on and forget about it until we want to sell, ill probably put the price back up to 169000 and then hopefully we wont get any viewers.

yeah i was, basically what we want now is to market the house just to keep the hip alive.

Im not paying for another one of them if i can help it, i know the searches expire, but thees no way im paying for another if i dont have to..

I may be a little confused, but isnt this a money saving website?

no didnt you read my first post, i sacked them, i know a lot of people have put there prices up on the housenetwork, just to keep with them, and then they will put the price down when they want to sell.
