selling your stuff on Amazon...part three...

about £10 - what is strange is I have it in writing that they received it yet they seem to have tried the same mail with this other seller - just wondering where I stand as they may well have made a mistake but it's quite a distinctive non-fiction book so why would you think you'd bought it from 2 sellers. I am wary of refunding as I've had people try this several times before when they'd had the book and I had proof but obviously I want to help if it's genuine...0

Another moan about feedback. Check out my latest 3 out of 5 comment:
"Received within a week and in very good condition for used CD although i feel a little over priced as have since found it elsewhere for over half as less."
Am I now responsible for the buyer not bothering to check prices elsewhere before buying my items? :wall:0 -

I think it is al to do with the blame culture we seem to be heading towards. A buyer no longer takes responsibility for their own actions so when they find that same item cheaper thet feel the need to blame 'someone' and it obviously wasn't their fault (insert appropriate whinging phrases here from the buyer). It is *very* frustrating though, and I wish there was some way we could rate our buyers back and give them a muppet rating or something :T

I contacted amazon about my problem with this buyer so they suggested emailing to clarify the situation so I have done and guess I will have to wait and see what they say - it seems they bought 2 different books at the same time and have chased both of us for the same title saying it didn't turn up ....as I have it in writing that they received it from me what would you do?
I suppose they may have received the other book and got confused but I can't understand how they have let it go on so long.
Generally I like the Amazon set up but at the mo it seems to be one thing after another.
I agree with you jo_b that some buyers are just hard work - i have had 2 lots of feedback like yours - people not looking at what they are buying and then leaving misleading feedback - it's soul destroying as it mucks up our ratings for no reason!0 -
Have you tried ringing Amazon on 0800 279 6620 and explaining matters and asking for the feedback to be removed?I'm sorry but I'm not Mike!0

Hi Guys
do you use the amazon market place sales or the amazon auction to sell your books?
(only just noticed the auction area, so initially thought all discussion was about the market place - now not so sure!!!)
Thanks
Murtle

Mine are all market place items, I use ebay for auctions.

Murtle, I'd say that we are all running it as Marketplace like Soo.
When I get a bit of time I'm going to have a good long think about ressurecting my ebay store that used to sell just china and trying it for just books and see what happens over a couple of months.
Question for Soo - you get your first month with an ebay shop for free, would this apply if it's not my first time with a shop? I cancelled it about 6 months ago0 -
AT, I think you only get a free month if you have never had a shop before, however, it isn't even clear from the ebay pages that the first month is free anyway!
I'm having a search now to see if I can back up either of my statements this is ebay after all, so why make the help pages helpful?
