Going back to something that Mudguts said -- Is it possible to see if anyone has searched for your item on amazon?
Thanks.I'm sorry but I'm not Mike!0 -
Can anyone tell me where to find the info on dispatching overseas or how much you get to do this... or if it is worth doing with amazon.
cheers0 -
Try this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/3149401/ref=w_h__brbx_c_1_1/202-4078680-7594250
I have happily so far sold a few abroad.I'm sorry but I'm not Mike!0 -
Thanks, I must say I don't find the site very easy to use when compared to eBay but having said that it loads a lot faster.
I think I'm going to change to worldwide dispatch...0 -
MUDGUTS - take care to check the weight of your larger books, you can easily go over the postage allowance, it may be worth it on some books that sell for a good price but not on others.
edit - I agree that it's hard to find your way around in comparison to the site map on ebay, and yes, wouldn't it be great to see how many views your book has had or even if it can't be done for each individual sellers book then maybe one counter for each ISBN0 -
Just found the cost below for Australia (1000g)
Royal Mail Surface Mail Printed Papers £4.81 Delivery Aim 56 Days
I need to get some scales and a bit more of an idea on weights for books but at the moment I'm working on the principle that I need to have a wide profit margin on books. Basically if it's big It is listed at a price to make a large profit that would offset any excess postage. I can't see much future in the £0.01 paperbacks. Possibly on eBay, maybe where you need to get your feedback up initially but amazon seems to be less inclined to the feedback business.0 -
Just had another big sale of 29.99 rather an insignificant looking paperback.
I sold a book a couple of weeks ago for 11.99 which was a good profit, buyers got it on ebay for £125 I know its mine as it had an inscription by the author,I had it at the right price according to bookfinder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has'nt got any bids yet, thank goodness otherwise I would be upset...lol0 -
Can anyone advise me on what to do in this situation?
I sold a book at the beginning of feb and heard aout 10 days later from the buyer saying they hadn't received it. I advised to check at the post office and if it wasn't there to let me know and I would send another copy and claim the original. A couple of days later I received a mail thanking me for my help and saying it had turned up.
I have just had a mail form the same buyer asking where it is and enclosing a long correspondance with another seller about the same book which ends in them saying they didn't sell that particular order number and to contact amazon who the buyer says gave them my details. I am confused!0 -
Gosh, so am I!
Is it worth asking this buyer for his phone number, I think that it could be sorted out quicker with a conversation on the phone rather than numerous emails as he is in a real muddle with this. Was it an expensive book?0
