soolin wrote:like Mr Clingford says there are some US buyers out there with huge prices, and i've never fathomed out why. One book I recently sold at a fiver had several listed at around the £4-£8 mark in 'very good' condition, yet there is a US seller with one sitting there at £90 in an acceptable condition. Maybe they are just playing a longer game

I've checked on Abebooks and Book Finder. There are no UK sellers listed at all. Maybe thats why the prices are so high because its rare ish in the UK.0

Sounds as though you could be on to a winner! Do you feel able to tell us what book it is?I'm sorry but I'm not Mike!0

Well it was mentioned in the first Amazon thread that's all I'm going to say.
I brought it from Ebay for a couple of quid.

I've copied and pasted the manual from thread one to put at the start of this thread, I've also categorised it a little better and added bits about things that we often get asked about, like buyer waiting and these silly high priced books.
I know that everyone here is always happy to answer questions if we can but this first post may fill in if there is no-one online when the more general sort of questions are asked.0 -

Got 2 other games which I'm not sure what to do with yet - Best of Worm's Pinball Value Series & World Championship Snooker (Original), both seem to have low selling prices on Amazon so would you try eBay first? Both games are in excellant condition, complete with instructions & inlay sheets BUT Worm's has a broken box.
Just sold a game for £8.75! Total Due Seller: £9.12 Might have to go dig out some more old games & see what I can get for them.2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0 -
**BG NOTE**
Just a quick question. Do users want AT to start thread number 4 yet? I'm watching the page count go up all the time and worry that it might be taking too long to load for people on dial up, if it's Ok though for most people we can leave it a bit longer, just let me have your thoughts.
Thank you.

Soo - I never though about dial up being slower, would it make any difference if people use the setting that shows 40 posts per page rather than 10 - I always use the 40 post setting and I can't imagine going back to 10 per page, is there any sensible reason why 10 posts is the default rather than the much better 40 posts?
edit....I'm going to ask why on site suggestions and see if there is a reason0 -
How do you view 40 as I am fed up with 10!?I'm sorry but I'm not Mike!0

Go to the salmon pink bar near the top of the page...click on 'user cp' then 'edit options' look down all the page and near the bottom you'll see the choice of how many posts per page you want0
