Now that I've been sucked it, I wonder if you could shed some light on where the cheapest place is to get padded envelopes? I was hoping to buy some in wilkinsons but they only have huge ones right now, are there any other places, at moment I am paying 28p each at the post office - not good!
Thanks

Hi, is that the real name of the shop "The pound shop" because I don't think we have that in MK, do you know if the company has a website so that I can do a shop locator and see where the nearest one to me is?
Thanks

There is a Poundland website, but there are actually a lot of different chains of pound shops so you might need to check them all. Also, there is a MK thread on the England board, try asking on there as users seem to know every shop within a 10 mile radius!

Thanks sooo I have found one in bedford, which is about 40 mins from me so I might have to trek out there. I will message the MK board about other pound shops.
Thanks

Waahay, sold another book which I listed about a week and a half ago, so I guess there is some hope for the rest of them
. Although one book I listed last week (undercutting the rest by about 5p) has now itself been undercut by two pounds!

Dont you just hate it when you cant find the book you have just sold, just had a 15 minute panic on but found it in the end.
Back up to 3 items a day after a lull at the end of feb/beginning of march.
Dont forget if you want to cut out the expense of the jiffy bags, get your bubble wrap from the supermarket in the fruit and veg dept(in tescos especially in the bags of apples) and use a cheap envelope, seal with packing tape 3 rolls for a pound in poundland.
I do splash out if it is a high value sale and give them a jiffy bag.0 -
Newbie jumping in here! :hello:
Actually I'm not totally a newbie to Amazon. Before I moved to the UK, I dabbled with Amazon, but only to clear out my bookcases. I never thought of it as a money maker in its own right. I know a few charity shops that have cheapie books, so I thought I'd start with 5 or 10 quid to invest and see what I can do. I can't start by selling my own books, as only my very nearest and dearest books got some of my valuable luggage allowance when I moved here! :rotfl:
I've made good money on ebay in the past, but I'm working so much overtime that the idea of coming home and doing photos and descriptions is not appealing. But I can handle Amazon listings.
Wish me luck!

I sold a CD today on Amazon, my first sale on there. How do I know the buyer has paid ok? Is it like Amazon where you have to pay online straight away? Don't want to send the CD in case payment hasn't been sent.2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0
