Why would you want an 80 min round trip? Surely the cost of that would far outweigh ordering them online from Viking who are cheaper anyway? and next day delivery!0 -

I'd do it tomorrow if you can - and if you can always send them out within 24 hours I'd suggest that you add this bit of info to your descriptions to make yours more attractive than the rest.
Posted it out first thing this morning, thanks!2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0 -
PLEASE...PLEASE...PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Take a tip from AT and MATCH the book price rather than undercutting
If you start undercutting, your book will very quickly drop down to a penny and we'll all lose out
It's good to hear everyones sales are taking off...maybe it'll happen to me soonLaughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0 -
Hope mine pick up soon as well. The only thing I've sold in the past 7 days has been an old VHS tape and I only made about 40p on that as it was heavy and cost £1.14 to send it second class (I was expecting it to be 93p or thereabouts like most VHS tapes).
At the moment I'm doing better on ebay with books than I am on Amazon, but I suppose it will even up again soon.

Well I am totally peeved off and disillusioned with the whole Amazon malarky! I have not had a sale in 3 weeks!!! YES, 3 WEEKS!
I have 60 books listed, mostly non fiction in the catagories talked about on here and I still can't get a blinking sale!! Am going to give up if nothing happens this week - hubby is going to kill me if I keep appearing home from the charity shops laden with books. LOL0 -
Leothecat - I'm sure things will pick up - keep at it, you've more books listed than me!! Thats a good thing. Anyway I have only sold 2 and haven't had any feedback yet. Anyone got any suggestions about trying to get feedback? Is it important?Starting MB- looking for Raf offers.

Leo - I agree with tabath, keep at it and it will turn for you.
Have you checked your prices and descriptions lately? If you've been undercut then you might want to lower your prices, the best way to do this is just to match with your competitor not undercut him because it will all spiral downwards with both of you getting cheaper.
Can your descriptions be beefed up a bit? can you offer to send books out on the day of purchase? are you using the best wordings? eg you could say that a book cover is scuffed but that makes it sound tatty on the other hand if you describe it as having a little shelf wear it sounds better, you are still making the point that the cover is not mint but in a *nicer* way.
If your books are quite low priced then maybe you might want to offer them on www.readitswapit and see if you can swap them for something slightly better0 -

I don't think that feedback is that important on Amazon tbh. I sold about 10 items I think before I got any feedback. Only a very small proportion of buyers bother to leave any feedback at all.
Some sellers on here send emails out when dispatching a book and ask the buyer to leave feedback. I don't personally. Otherwise Amazon will automatically email the buyer about a month after the sale and ask them to leave feedback.0 -
Thanks tabath and AT for your words of encouragement! What a lovely bunch you all are!
I think I shall go into my sellers account and ensure the wording and descriptions are all the best the can be. I'll also check my prices.
Thanks again - you've made me feel a bit better.0 -
