But would that be signed by god?

No idea juno ;), but I could make a good forgery. Who'd know? :D

No, I'm very happy. I have a first edition hardback, signed by Terry Pratchett. We don't have the dust jacket, but unsigned ones are going for £6 so I've bought one and will swap.

There's only one other on there at nearly £300.

I'm on a Terry Pratchett list and there is an anecdotal story that does the rounds about TP books that suggest he signs so many that an unsigned one is rarer than a signed one. :rotfl:

Most of mine here are signed, you can usually tell if the sig is genuine as he tends to write quite a bit, often about hedgehogs (fans will know what that connection is).

Do you suppose that Amazon will put their postage credit up next month when Royal mail increase their prices? If not it might be worth checking out some of the lower priced books against the new postage costs to make sure that they don't sell at a loss.

I'm in trouble with OH for swapping too many penny books by mistake  . I look for the cheapest version and base my decision on that but some still slip through the net.

This morning I told him that he could start being in charge of our RISI dept and that soon made him pipe down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really could do with a few ebay tips as I think that heavier books are better off sold on there. What kind of books sell well on there (apart from carp fishing ;) )???

BTW - juno, I LOVE your avatar, cheers me up every time I see him!!!

Amazon might well leave the credit alone; although it will be more expensive for lighter books it could be less expensive for some heavier ones.
I'm sorry but I'm not Mike!

THis is just the annual price increase so all prices have gone up. The pricing in proportion doesn't come in until August.

That is what I meant - the PiP. i was thinking that a key element for me is how thick the books are. I mainly use D/1s so if the package is thicker than 25mm then I will lose out. Time to get measuring!

Thanks Mike :) and :hello:again in your disguise!

Whilst that's helpful as I haven't looked into the PiP thing yet, it was the actually the increase next month that Soolin mentioned that I was wondering about.
