    Hi helnag,

You're quite right trying to teach about money when they are young! My niece will get money from her gran i.e. both pocket money and hand-outs then when asked for it back (the hand-out money) she will put her hand on her forehead and say 'Forget'! It's quite funny but at the same time not really teaching her the value of money!

Your to-do list is so good, I need to get more organised myself, house is starting to look really bad! Well done in getting all that done x

Yeah I think MSE has made me so aware that I want them to learn to look after their money. I already make the 5YO do 5 jobs every day before she's allowed to watch any telly or get her £1 on a Friday. I encourage her to save the £1 but guaranteed she comes back from Daddys with £1 worth of carp lol.

I haven't actually finished the list yet but I've had such a lazy day (which was very nice and I never do so am planning to do more often) I felt a list was in order to spur me on.

I'm currently tucking into the BIGGEST bowl of leftover spagbol you've ever seen, no wonder I never lose any weight. I need to get your detox bug.

  • Summer brings out the naughtiness in everybody, one way or another lol. I'm loving the new VK Pear atm. We had a 'staff meeting' just to try some a few weeks back. Great 'staff meeting' that was, free VK Pears and space hoppers! Oh and Corky's Cola Cube with either coke or lemonade, can't knock that since I got an almost full free bottle of it just for being paid wrong last week, think I should forget to sign out more often!!

I've been having a bit of a lazy day this morning. I've posted a few bits sold on eBay and hoovered but other than that I haven't done much at all...

I have done 20 minutes of my kick boxing dvd which must be working cos although I can walk up the stairs I am extremely wobbly walking back down them. My legs just seem to have no strength in them now. I've also had a nice long bath and washed my hair as it was in danger of having the ability to fry chips!!!

Now I must get on with some bits otherwise I'll regret it when I get home tomorrow and the house is a mess.

    [STRIKE]1) Put washing on[/STRIKE] Easy!!!

    2) Poopa scoop and jeyes fluid the patio (someone please remind me why I have dogs).

[STRIKE]3) Do at least half an hours worth of ironing to try and conquer at least part of the mountain forming in the kitchen[/STRIKE] Got carried away and did the lot.

    4) Put said washing on the line when the load has finished.

    5) Make macaroni cheese for dinner for when I get home after work tomorrow.

I know this is boring but it helps me get stuff done when I have to check back here.

Looks like I'll be busy after the school run, still need to put ironing away, make mac cheese and bath both kids before I leave to stay at my Dads for work tomorrow. Where does the day go? Teach me for having a lazy morning!!!

All that's left is bathing the kids and doing them dinner, then I need to pack for tonight and find my P45 from my last care job so I can add up how much I earnt last year and call tax credits tommorrow.

    Aggghhh,

Just when things start to even out, I have just added a grand total of £900 to my family debts. My Brother in Law is now definately coming home so have borrowed the money from my wonderful dad but I really need to pay him back as one of my priorities. He wont mind waiting but I owe him so much already (thousands, neither of us actually know as its been dribs and drabs) it's important that this is not another loan that gets forgotten. My BIL will give it back to me when he's straight again but it will take time so for the time being I will have to pay back my dad.

    Double flippin AGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!
