Have finally managed to make a couple of overpayments....woop woop!!

I get paid from my new job tomorrow (only for last weekend but it's a start) so have just logged on and paid £20 off of Capital one, £20 off of Next and £5 to my ISA...

I haven't been able to overpay for soooo long and it feels soooo good :T:T

Oh well, plenty to do so bye for now.

Yes it does, it's taken me a while to get here again which has been hard cos it felt like I was getting no where but as long as nothing too hugely unexpected pops up I should be good to make a few more over payments through out the month...yippee!!!

    Hi helnag,

You're doing well with your to-do list! Also the over-payments, every little £ helps! Not going to well for me this month, money seems to be seeping out my account and I don't know where the heck it's going, ha!

    Hi,

Maybe a spending diary might help, I keep meaning to start one myself but get to Sainsburys and feel guilty about spending £1 on a notebook (even though I have a basket full of non essentials)!!!

Think maybe I'll make that my job for tomorrow...go to Sainsburys, get a diary and nothing else!!
I'm the same and money seems to be seeping out of my account and I have no real idea what I've spent it on.

    Money wise today...

Car is now fixed and running...£180 later....

Have had to buy a new tyre...BOO. At £65 fitted it's bloomin expensive due to the fact that when my ex had the car he bought stoopid alloys and now I'm stuck with them cos he can't find the old ones. How do you lose 5 wheels??? Oh well, I needed to buy it cos the other one was getting far too bald and I noticed there was pretty much no tread left. I'd rather be safe, especially with the girls in the car.

Have paid my Dad back £100 of the £1000 he lent me for ex BIL getting home. That leaves me with £35 for the weekend but I don't need to buy anything else.

Also need to get car MOT'd by the end of the month and taxed but hey ho, I need the car so not much I can do about that. It's just a bit depressing that the money spent on the car could clear one of my debts.

Am at work today which I'm really not in the mood for and I have a headache. On the bright side I'm not doing job no2 this weekend cos I will manage to accumulate all of my hours over every other weekend and three evenings a week, so at least I wont feel like I never get any time off.

I have decided to do another SOA to see whether things have improved at all, so I'll get that done within the next couple of days.

On Monday I will clear Cap 1 (Yes AGAIN)!! and I should also have enough money to pay off some more from Next.

I am being naughty on Monday though and paying £45 to get my new floor laid in my kitchen. I had already paid £100 for the floor in February then before they laid it my boiler was condemned and I had to postpone the floor. At the moment it's like a rough layer of who knows what in the kitchen so I called them yesterday and arranged it for Monday. I know it's naughty but the floor in there at the mo is disgusting and impossible to clean and I had already paid for the actual floor so it seems silly not to get it laid.

    Oh well confession over...

    Be back later. xx

Aggghhh, I thought my situation was much more improved than it is. Oh well, back to the grindstone, 3 more months and I'll only have the 2 big welcome ones left, I suppose then things will look better. On the plus side it has improved a bit, if anyone has any ideas how I can improve things further then please let me know. My car insurance is probably the main one but I can't change that until September...only another 4 months and know I can get it a-LOT cheaper!!!

Hang on a mo, just checked my first SOA and I was over £170 short a month so it is improved quite a bit, although most of that is due to my ex agreeing to pay the car finance at long last but hey it's getting better.

Just to let you know that people are reading and interested.Id like to say a big well done for keeping with it. It cant be easy I know.

Especially when things like car repairs crop up out of nowhere.

Its sods law that things like this happen just when you feel like you are getting somewhere but thats life I suppose.

Ill keep following to see how you are doing so keep it up!!
