    Hey,

Yay for having your car all sorted, double yay at how much you've managed to cut your expenses by since your last SOA, that's well impressive

    :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Oh my gosh, it cost £45 to get a floor laid?? That's horrendous!! I have an image in my head of how I want my house to be when I have one and I'm pretty sure council houses don't come looking like it, I had no idea something like that cost so much!! Think I'm going to have to work on be-friending some builder-y type guys so I can avoid that sort of cost!! :rotfl:

My Cap1 looks lovely sat at £86, shame it won't last  Part of me just reeeeally wants to get rid of it now. Oh and I wasn't paid right AGAIN  after an actual promise that it would be sorted this week, i'm going to kick off soooooo much at work tonight, no wonder my Boss was being nice last night, he must of known....AAAaahhhhh!! Sorry.. rant over :o

    Kantankrus Mare,

Thanks for saying hello, I do sometimes wonder if I'm babbling away to myself half the time but to be honest just having the diary helps keep me on track!!

It has been hard the last couple of months because like you say it's typical that when you're ready to get on top of stuff things get in the way but hey ho I know I'll get there eventually. If I've managed to pay for the car this month then (fingers crossed) as long as nothing happens between now and next month I'll have that money spare next month.

    Hi YM20,

I have a picture in my head too, I managed to get my last house looking lovely and on a small budget too but since moving here I've felt a bit defeated. There is so much to do, the whole house needs carpeting just for starters. I managed to get the girls room done and carpeted within 2 weeks of moving here but the kitchen's stalled since the boiler was condemned and I can't even contemplate thinking about the rest of the house. Thing is, I know this is really bad but I don't want to spend money on carpet that I don't want long term even if it is cheaper, when I moved here I promised myself I'd do it up perfect no matter how long it takes. Just means I have to put the house on hold now I've had my LBM and wait until my debts are cleared.

Your work is a nightmare isn't it...what a pain in the bum. Make sure you get yourself some more free drinks for the inconvenience!!

Any news on the telly front??

Have just made another £50 payment to Next so feeling pleased with myself today, I'm finally back on track.

Have also let Tax Creds know about my new job and estimated salary, will have to wait and see how much it affects my income but hope it will balance out somewhere.

Oh I am so worried about my sister and her husband.

He started up a company in 2007 doing air conditioning and refridgeration. His main contract then went bust about 4 months later owing him £36000. Since then he's struggled on, barely having any work but it has got too much and he's had to fold the company. My sister has quite a good job but they've made her whole department redundant leaving just my sister and one other.

I have just spoken to my BIL and he says that he's been advised that an IVA might be the best thing because somehow (i'm not very business minded) the company debts are tied to him personally. The company he bought his van from are re-possessing the van and auctioning it and whatever loss it makes he will have to pay, the same with the business overdraft and various other bits. He's petrified they'll lose their house, bless him.

I've nagged at them to do an SOA but they just never do it. It's such a shame cos they'd planned to have kids soon and now there's no way they will even consider it for the time being. he still can't even find any work and has been working for my Dad but that's only as and when and wont be for much longer.

I just wish I had some advice to give them...

That sounds like a horrible situation for them to be in, it must be awful for all of you with all that worry.

After how drunk I got Sunday on free drinks I'm not sure its a good idea, although Sunday I did take sooo much money it wouldn't actually all fit in my till drawer and I had to get half of it put in the safe so I absolutely earnt my drunkness however much I regretted it the next day after NO sleep and an er incident with a guy I work with i'd rather forget but doubt i'll be allowed to,. He came in last night looking all pleased with himself, i'm dreading having to tell him i actually totally completely don't like him like that, especially since he gives me lots of lifts and my lovely friend fancies the pants of him for some weird reason.

I'v not got my tele yet, my dads took my LO to my mums friend who works at the creche he goes to's b'day party so he didnt have time to take me to go get it, im not sure if i want to now either :s

I just wish I could help them in some way, any way...I think my BIL starting to suffer from depression and my sister can be quite a difficult person at times. She's being understanding at the mo, I just hope it lasts. It seems weird that I was always a little jealous of everything they had when now I just feel sick thinking about how much money they owe.

Mot good about the bloke at work, we've all been there though, well I know I have, just makes you cringe doesn't it!!

Good for you on the telly thing....is it because you can't bear to spend the money now?

Yay if it is, doesn't it feel good to have a nearly clear credit card?

I'm sure they'll muddle through it somehow, it might just not seem like it now.

I don't wanna see the number shoot back up, my cc looks pretty nearly empty plus i wouldnt actually take it out the box til i move cus theres just no space so maybe it can wait and i can get rid of tht damn cap1.

The guy thing is horrendous, i was hoping it could just stay quiet but thts sooo not happening and now hes being all faux sensitive about how much he likes my lovely friend who likes him - why can't they both just leave me out of it?? I think he'll hurt her but its not my place to stop her going there really, its all very complicated.

    Hi,

Not had a chance to post for a while as been non stop work, work, work lol. I'm being an extra good girl and have done quite a bit of overtime. Means I'm in the 'good' books at job no 2 cos covering shifts is always a problem with homecare. If they ask and I can then I've been doing it. I have told tax creds about my new job but haven't yet received my new award notice.

I had an extra £180 in the bank this morning from them though which means it'll probably bring my tc's down but hey ho, least I'm earning more for myself. I'm just itching to see how much I'll be getting so I can re-jiggle my spread sheet and know where I really stand.

I have used part of the £180 to buy my car tax which is due at the end of the month so there'll be no last minute scramble for that and I have been to Sainsburys and got a few bits as the cupboards were looking seriously bare. I spent £17.11 which I thought was really good cos I haven't bought any shopping for around 2 weeks but still have enough in the freezer for basic meals. I was naughty and bought some jam tarts but they were Sainsburys own and I felt like I should have a treat!! :p

I have also paid £20 into my savings acc towards my HLC fund, can't update sig at the mo cos nothing's actually been paid but feel good knowing the car tax is done!!

Well, really need to log on at work and get some bits done, I have been seriously lax on all things other than job no 2 this week so lots to catch up on, let alone housework....arrrggghhh

    Right,

I have done just under 3 hours of work so that's better than nothing although I will need to log on extra hours next week or I'll lose my weekly hours bonus.

I have hoovered, swept and mopped, polished, done a load of washing and hung it on the line. House is still not quite right but will do until Monday (working all day tomorrow at job no1 and Saturday and Sunday at job no2).

I have paid my Mum £100 of the £200 that I owe her so half way there and I have also got £160 to give my Dad tomorrow towards the £1000 he lent me for ex BIL's flight home.

    Getting there, slowly but surely.
