Don't beat yourself up about it, it's so hard to find the momentum and don't forget I'm home all week other than Fridays.

I have seriously been neglecting the work front with regards to logging on at home and getting through some paperwork. I'm lucky in that when I chose to move 45 minutes away my boss signed up to 'go to my pc.com' to enable me to work from home. I really shouldn't take advantage but I suppose I've been enjoying being at home with the LO and not getting round to it. Hence why at least 8 hours is on my list. This really is half of what I should be doing so i figure if I aim for that within my routine and then add in some more as I can I'll get there in the end.

Housework is carp though isn't it. I used to be awful with doing any housework but as I've got older I've started turning into my mother lol. AGGGHHH!!!!

Well I used to watch How Clean is Your House and be repulsed by all the houses (mines isn't anywhere near that) but I did see a strange insect creature sitting on a broom when I went for a towel this morning - that gave me the creeps!

Just phoned Mum, my laptop is here so gonna go check it then sis will get it sorted for me, prob won't get it til Thursday or Friday though, or well might get house done before I am logged on here permanently!

Helnag, do not turn into your Mother!

Woopee, new laptop!!! Yayyyy!!! I sooo want a new laptop especially since I started working from home but it clearly isn't within my budget at the moment. I had been hoping my mega wonderful boss might feel it was necessary and get it on the company but things are slow that end so it seems unlikely.

I do love a new toy but hey, I guess that's why I'm logged on here now :)

I so don't want to turn into my mother, but I can see it already, always the martyr.
'I'll come and sit down once I've scrubbed the house, done the ironing and poopa scooped, oh hang on let me just remove the broom from my ****'
'No I don't need any help, I can do it ALL myself'
I actually think that's half the reason me and my ex split, I always made time for everyone and everything else and neglected us, I'm not taking all the blame but it was definately a factor. Oh well the past is the past. Pre MSE I spent far too little time with the kids but now I factor a bit for them each, every day, even if it's ten minutes, bed time is so much more relaxed now too, no more panicking about dishes in the sink. Little lives grow so quick and I want to make the most of it!!

    Oh No...

I've just received my BT and sky bills. BT is a few pence over £100, (I'd estimated this to be around £50) and Sky is £66 (I'd estimated around £45).
I'm going to be seriously short, by about £60. I'm really stressing about it now. The easy option would be to get my dad to lend me the money but I really don't want to ask him AGAIN.

I've spoken to BT and they're giving me a credit of £20 cos they've billed for call diversion and stuff which I no longer need and which was less when I took it out. Because I don't make at least 2 chargeable calls each month they charge me more which I didn't realise. But the credit wont come into affect until my next bill in 3 months time.

I am so cross with myself cos I thought I'd been more careful with not calling mobiles and stuff but obviously not careful enough. I can understand BT cos that includes calls from January when I was not DFW and didn't worry about stuff like that but blimey. What am I gonna do? If the 1st wasn't on the Friday I'd be fine cos I'd have more cash in my bank after the wknd.

Phone bills are horrible, I just checked mines online, I tried to call my friend to tell her about the Roof Man a couple of weeks ago, but it was engaged - I was charged 11p everytime I called but couldn't get through - my bills was very high and gonna get worse once I get the broadband in. Only good thing will be able to email my sis in Canada more regular rather than phoning so should save money there.

Don't stress helnag, you've beed doing really well in others areas so don't beat yourself up. x

    Thanks Swinstie

Just a bit depressing, it's been a long time since I've struggled to pay my regular bills, it's always tight but I normally manage it with a few pence left.

I'm thinking maybe I'll cancel my 2 water dds and then pay them on the Monday debit card and then set the dds up again? I don't know, it seems wrong to do that but at least everything will get paid and I know water companies tend to be less demanding. I'm gonna try not to touch any money from the bank next month and then I'll be able to see my surplus building up.

    Anyhoo, how's the detox going?

Have you got an overdraft helnag? I set one up for £250 I think and haven't used it recently but in the past (and when it was higher), I used to go into it by about £350 - £400 every month. Had to get a cleaning job to help clear it, which I did. If you haven't got one, why don't you set one up for about £50 just for those pesky bills that crop up, means no charges with only a little bit interest! That's my theory anyway, maybe there is a better way to manage it.

Detox going ok apart from the scone this morning and the mini eggs last night - seem to be back on track tho. Only 20 days to go, boo!

No I don't have one and with my credit rating I can't get one :( I've asked before.

Only 20 more days to go...? I couldn't manage 1 so well done, big pat on the back for you. :)
