Aww Helnag, sorry to hear about your car.

Hope everything works out ok - you're doing really well and should be very proud of yourself. :D

It just doesn't feel like it at the moment, I think I'm gonna have to use the old cc this month at some point and kind of feel like I've stalled completely.

    Thanks for your support though.

    Hi Helnag,

Sorry to hear about the car, do you know anyone who can do it cheaper, i.e. buy the parts yourself and get someone to fix it? You should try and put money by every month for repairs, I never have in the past, but started giving my sis £20 a month (£10 for road tax, £10 for mot etc), it won't cover everything but doesn't feel so bad when it comes around. Cars eh, who'd have 'em, but you always need 'em. Chin up x

    Hi Swinstie,

Yeah that's my plan to put money away but it's hard to get started I guess. Just need a head start. I suppose I'll just have to stomach the fact that my cc balance is gonna have to go up again for now and then once I start getting paid from my new job I'll be able to clear it again and things will just slowly look better.

This is why diets never work for me, I get in-patient and expect instant results!!!!

    Hi Helnag,

How's you today, any more news on the car? Don't worry about the credit card going up, I've just seen mines go up over £300 and I was doing well to try and get it down to under £10K in the next two months, doesn't look likely. It's not like you're buying clothes and stuff you don't need.

As for diets, I think I'm over my caffiene withdrawal (I hope), as feel a lot better today. xx

    Hi,

No, no more news on the car, gonna get someone out of the local paper to do it I think, will prob work out cheaper than the quotes I had from garages, will have a ring round in the week.

Feeling really rough today, my ears are sore and my glands feel like golf balls (they don't look like it, just very painful).

Off back up to bed now, was just having a lurk at others diaries.

    Right, it's Monday....Boooo!!!

Not really much to report at the mo, things are a bit slow on the debt busting, once I get to the 1st of next month I'll know exactly how much I have to work on.

My ex has agreed to start paying for my car, a whopping £300 a month, we've been getting on a lot better and I've explained my ins and outs and as it was him that needed the car in the first place he feels it's only fair he pays for it now. I'm not sure I like that I'm letting him help support me but needs must as they say and it will make a big difference in my outgoings.

I'm ashamed to admit I've been smoking again, I haven't been to the nurse for around 3 weeks so gonna try and get an appt for this week and see what she suggests...I seem to have lost my resolve.

As for my To Do list:

    Very basic but...

    1) Do at least 8 hours of work spread out over the afternoons when LO is napping.

    2) Eat a light healthy lunch each day with no snacking other than fruit.

    3) General housework.

    4) Find out about Butlins Bingo free scratchies.

That's all for now really, I need to get up in the loft at some point, a few of my eBay items haven't sold and I plan to do a boot sale now the weather's a bit brighter, I know the previous tenant left some old junk up there so need to root through and see if there's anything worth flogging.
