Oh, lots of things going on! And my brain is doing a great sieve impression at the mo, so lots of hugs to all of you!

Kathy - hope that all the things you need to get done go smoothly. What are you and Mr Moliere planning to do in France, other than enjoy the wine, warmth and your family! xx

Sybil - don't panic about the cheque, just try and be pleased about the money! You were doing really well a while ago taking LB out, and I'm sure that you will get there again, won't be too long before we have some sunshine (I hope!), and that will make it much nicer to be out, so perhaps a little easier xx

Reverbe - hope the housework doesn't take too long and that you get out for your walk! Is there no way you can meet up or talk to your OH, May seems a long time ago, sorry I don't know the circumstances and here prob isn't the right place either, I hope you get to see him soon xx

Tru - let them all sink! My lot have their moments, and my ex certainly was good at leaving things for me to do - but I'm stubborn and they eventually came round to my way of thinking!

Celyn - heavy food sounds like a great idea, always makes me want a snooze too! Glad the wand didn't make an appearance - have you double checked that your oh hasn't inherited any of the lunacy?!! xx

Hester - good luck on the job front for both you and Mr Hardup! That seems like a very small amount of money, perhaps you should charge people for lessons in thriftyness?! xx

Fairy Elephant - Asda do cheap duvets and covers and sheets and pillows etc. Think a double is about £8. xx

Just started to pack for my weekend away and discovered that my jammies have a hole in the leg! Beyond sewing, an actual chunk of material is missing lol, think the dog must've grabbed me! They were pretty much on their last legs (ha ha) anyway, so will whizz to Asda after dd3's assembly and grab some more! I love new jammies!

Edit: sybil - well done you! xx

  • Goodness me Sybil. No wonder you're feeling all wobbly packing all that into a couple of hours. Well done you. :T :T :T

Reverbe, hugs to you..... Is there no way you can track down your OH? Just to reassure yourself that things are ok.

Another busy morning in th tippytoes house. Had a quick coffee and chat with Brown owl about the church hall and the WI meetings. Managed to come to a mutually beneficial arrangement.
Also got some summer bulbs in and a load of towels in the wash and on the line.

Pie and mash for tea and scones for pud.

Thanks WS am actually seriously considering leaving it as it is. Except should my mum come down to visit between now and then she would go completely ape! Lol She doesnt quite get the fact that I feel so bad and therefore dont seem to have the energy or the tolerance to the pain I have to do much about it. She just called and went mad at me because I told her I was still sat here in my pjs! Maybe she is right, maybe I need to get myself up and showered and dressed (can feel the pain already!)

Am so pleased that you went out with LB. I really love hearing all about him. You should be proud and when LB goes for his nap why not do something for just you, even just sit down with a cuppa and watch your favourite TV programme. All our little acheivements deserve to be rewarded with some treats!

.......Have just had a letter from DLA to say that their doctor will be visiting me next Thursday and Im really worried about it. Not that I have anything to hide and I know this is only part of the decision making process but my house is a complete tip..........I dont even know where to start tiding it and I dont want to have to sit with some random stranger and tell him all the things I am incapable of doing. I know what I cant do, I know Im pretty useless and hate having to be reminded of it.......

But if you tidy it up, won't that give an inaccurate impression that you can cope with doing everything? Perhaps it might be worth sitting back & letting someone else see your life as it really is for a little while (and then you can tidy up after they've gone ;))

Thanks Floss. For some reason the very thought of it has reduced me to tears again. I really dont know what is wrong with me at the moment.

Have decided that its probably not a good idea to almost kill myself to make the house look...............well how it never looks!! Only me and DH and no joking within 10 minutes of him returning from work its like a whirlwind has hit! Am however going to do some cleaning, will just go round the messy bits :rotfl: am disgraced to say that last nights dinner dishes are still sitting in the sink, I havent eat anything since my dinner last night and can feel myself sinking fast. Need to stop it happening so maybe time to put my music on loud and do a little 'fly lady' or in my case a shuffle lady!

  • Helloooo:j

Sunny day here but cold when you get out:rolleyes:
I am feeling a bit brighter today thank God and this is where I start feeling daft for getting so down in the first place:confused:
DS tells me he is getting a certificate presented in assembly today for his number work:T am very proud of him.
After school we go to church on Friday as there is a "cafe" there and a few other mums go on the way home from school. Have made a cake to take there later.
Just had left over shepherds pie for lunch. DS is going to his dads later tonight till Sun morning so OH and I are having takeaway tonight:o ( first for ages and I feel like a day off cooking), tomorrow we are having a nice relaxed day. We have a DVD from Lovefilm and some popcorn for tomorrow night.
Thanks to everyone for the hugs yesterday:cool:
WS well done on going out what an achievement:T
Reverbe I dont understand the ins and outs of what is going on but am sorry you are in such a bad way right now,I think you need to find a way of contacting OH and finding out what is happening and if you will get back together. You need to know either way what is going on, so that if nothing is going to come of it you can at least get some closure and forge a life for yourself. Hugs to you it must be very hard.

Well off to hoover up and finish tidying

    xx

I'm sorry, but that stinks. If someone is ill, no matter what the condition or illness, then that person does not always have the energy / physical fitness / stamina to do what a healthy person would regard as normal stuff like showering & getting dressed.

Anyway, everyone needs pyjama days now & again!
  • I did it!

We went into town on the bus, and into the bank, then briefly into Wilkinsons and a pasty shop (not very nice, will have to top up little bear later, it's only his second sausage roll and he was quite disapproving). And then we came home!!!!!!

    Feel all wobbly.
Well done Sybil!!! :T:j:T You may feel wobbly but you did it hun. So very pleased for you. :)

    Hugs,
    Peyton xx

Afternoon all, still feeling tired all the time....holiday coming up just in time I think.

Went to charity shop to get some books for holiday and spent the huge sum of €6....that included some cotton for patchwork, so well chuffed. They have also started a loyalty card system...they write down everything you spend and when it reaches €50 you get a €5 voucher, can use card and voucher in any St Vincent's shop.

    Reverbe....hugs

Welcome to newbies, you will like it here.

Sybil....you are wonderful! Take things easy now until the shakes subside, you deserve a rest.

tru...oh boy do I know where you are coming from! I suggest that you do not
do any laundry except for you, sweep other peoples' clutter out of your way, cook for you and offer them anything that is left...they should soon get the message...

Hester....you are wonderful to do all you do on such a small income!

Csarina....keep the momentum going now, you can get to that house and at least have a life for you and OH

Linz...don't do too much or they will definitely think that you are better than you say

celyn...one day down and no magic wands...heavy food sounds ideal

No idea about the UK education system I am afraid...are your children choosing subjects for GCSE? Ours have a similar exam at around 15/16 but normally do at least 8 subjects, dropping to 6 or 7 for Leaving Certificate at around 18.

Mioliere...good luck with the packing, I moved once in my married life and will never do it again...some things were never found again and we only moved half a mile!

N9eav, enjoy your fishing, hope you get a good catch.

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating

LOL Mr LW’s theory is that fridges are for beer and cider and freezers are for vodka.
    Sybil well done!:T:T

I'm feeling pleased with myself - got Mr LW to take me into town yesterday evening (late opening in MK) as my mobile phone contract was up for renewal, I now have a shiny new phone and a tariff £5 a month cheaper than previously.:j:j

Made Impossible Pie for the first time; it turned out better that I had expected and has been declared "Yum" by Mr LW.:p

I hope everyone is having a good day today.

Don't know what's happened to font sizes - tried changing colour of the quotes as I can't get the hang of multiple quote thingies, and it's gone all weird on me.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
