Was hoping to go for a walk today as I am feeling like I need to lose weight just in case I see my OH before I get to pension age but flatmate is ordering me to do his housework.
Dinner tonight is going to be a tiny amount of HM pork chili defrosted, no rice. Will try to do without lunch.
Hope everyone is well.
Reverbe, your flat mate is ordering you to do his housework???  , no one has the right to order you around, go out for your walk and s*d him.
Could you not suggest to your OH to meet up?, you could meet him / her halfway, I am sure it would make you feel better, take care of yourself hun, and make sure you eat xx
Welcome to Purpleclutterbuck and nic1lou2 its great here
Just had lunch, a pitta with chicken and houmous, and a rare packet of crisps as a friday treat, will finish coffee then get on, hugs to all xx

Good morning all!
Well yesterday's good mood had evaporated by the time I finished work, and I was doing so well! Anyway I have my onion bhajees and scooby doo vid that leapt into my hands to enjoy with the kids tonight, so should be a nice end to today!
OS today I have done the pots, walked the dog, swished but not swiped (half a job alice here!), and wiped round my shower and sinks. Still need to hoover and make a meal plan for next week.
Lunch today will be cheese and mushrooms on toast with plenty of pepper and garlic for me, plus some cherry toms, kids have hm pasties, raisins and nuts, a cereal bar (found a box in the cupboard, think my friend left them when she came to stay, I'm sure I don't remember buying them!) and an orange and banana. dd3 also has yoghurt.
Dinner is going to be fahitas from a kit (2 for £3 in Asda), comes with a crunchy coating for the chicken so will give it a go, except using quorn cos I have loads of it! Will serve with salad, rice and sour cream (actually yoghurt mixed with lemon juice, but close enough!).
Was meant to be having a make over today, but decided I'd rather stay home, so am surrounded by pots and potions and doing it myself - feel like I've gone back in time, I have a pic from a magazine and I'm copying it lol! If it works I shall test drive it when I go to dd3's celebration assembly this afternoon, people will wonder what I've been up to if I rock up looking glam!
dd3 was thrilled with her new rabbits, and they are so cute, busy hopping around me at the mo, they seem really tame, so someone must have spent quite a lot of time playing with them before they ended up at the RSPCA.
Def gonna catch up with this thread today and see what you've all been up to! Hugs to all in need xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Good afternoon. Finally have a bit of energy even though I didn't get enough sleep last night. DD, her partner and a friend called in at 10pm last night. I think DD forgets we get up at 5. In any case it was lovely to see them as always. She has been in hospital and then cooped up at home with her asthma and was going stir crazy so out they went for a late night drive.
Well the energy boost didn't start until I'd sat around until 10am today. I had my coffee(s) while catching up on the forum, email, news etc online. Since then, the mountain of dishes and pots are washed, kitchen cleaned, refrigerator scrubbed inside and freezer is just about done defrosting. Bree has been for a nice walk and I'm about done the tidying.
It's gorgeous, sunny and relatively warm here today. I really should have headed to the laundrette when it opened at 9 as I could have hung the big load of sheets and towels I have outside to dry. DH has tomorrow off and then 7 days straight so I don't want any chores other than usual tidying and cooking to do. So perhaps Sunday it will get done if the weather holds.
Will get back at it and finish the tidying. Then change bedding, dust and hoover. I may even get inspired to wash my 2 windows in the flat. :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good Friday. Welcome to the new friends, you will love it here, everyone truly is so nice.
(((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))) to all. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

(((HUGS))) Revebre, Linz, Moggins and - well - everyone else really :grouphug: !
:hello: Hi to New Peeps on the thread!
So glad it is Friday, even if we do have the SK's all weekend to try my patience!
Plus tonight we also have DSS#1's GF. I sent DH up into the loft room last nite to make sure the folding bed is clear for her, and there is enough clear floor for her to get to it! Still not had time to go to Ikea (any other ideas where I can buy one cheaply please:question:) and buy another single quilt, so she will have to make do with sleeping bag again I'm afraid, or DSS#1 will have to give her his quilt and he can have the sleeping bag!
Still not sure if we should let them share a room :rolleyes2 ?!?- at the moment DSS's #1 & 2 share as they always have, and she sleeps in the loft room ( AKA the junk room!) when she stays - but we know that they *ahem* 'sleep' together, as it was both their birthdays last month (DSS#1 18  and his GF 17) and he took her to a nice hotel for dinner and to stay the night!!!
On the OS side - Planning a big baking evening tonite - 2 quiches for tea (1 with bacon in for us, and 1 veggie as the GF doesn't eat meat), a lemon drizzle cake (as I never made one before but people keep telling me how nice they are), another plain white loaf of bread, and a spicy fruit loaf especially for DSD as she loves it for breakfast! Might even make some muffins too - I am fancying some cheese ones...mmmmmm
Must change & wash bedding tomorrow too, if I don't get around to it tonite, and DH will have a full load of work clothes by the time he gets home tonite...
DH going to footie tomorrow with DSS#2. Don't expect DSS#1, GF & DSD will get up before midday (Oh the joys of teenage life!), so I'll be doing the weekly kitchen cleanup and then taking my ol' mum out to run some errands with/for her. Thank goodness I have my car back on the road!
Have a good day everyone, and a good weekend if I don't make it back online!

Hey Guys!
Sorry for my lack of posting yesterday, but in between work, chasing that bloody parcel, kids and swimming in the evening, I didnt have much time to myself!
I finally tracked down my parcel yesterday after 3 days of chasing, endless phonecalls, and useless delivery people! Finally recieved yesterday at 5.30pm, talk about cutting it fine! Had just enough time last night to alter DS2's costume to fit as it was a little long, before wearing it today for school! I am going to be writing a long letter of complaint, as paying £10 extra P&P to have it delivered next day but then spend all week chasing it, really aint on! Anyway that's enough of that don't want to talk about that parcel ever again! lol :rotfl:
Not much OS going on at mo, as Thursday and Friday I work and just dont find the time to get much done.
Went swimming last night, so hoping that will have burned a few calories. have joined the "lost half a stone in a month" challenge on here to help motivate me more.
Kids looked great in their costumes this morning, have taken pics and will post one tomorrow, when I am back on my home PC.
I know Michael Jackson hasnt got the greatest urmmmm how would you put it....track record I guess! Due to his publicity stunts, court cases etc, but am I the only one excited about his upcoming tour? I am not keen on Michael Jackson as a person (bit of a weirdo if I am honest! :rotfl: ), but as an artist he is a legend!! I was too young the first time he was "around" so never saw him live, so having the chance now to see him...I can't wait!! Just hope I can get some reasonably priced tickets next week when they go on sale!!
Taplady - I am not to far from Truro either, about 5 miles down the road!
Anyway I have jibbered on enough!
Hugs to all!
Enjoy the weekend!

I did it!
We went into town on the bus, and into the bank, then briefly into Wilkinsons and a pasty shop (not very nice, will have to top up little bear later, it's only his second sausage roll and he was quite disapproving). And then we came home!!!!!!
Feel all wobbly.
Bargainbird - isn't Spike coming on! You must be so proud.
Little bear is definitely under the weather. At Wilkinsons someone was asking if he was alright. I suspect a cold as he was quite green nosed this morning and I think a long afternoon nap will not hurt him. He was gorgeous on the way home. He wouldn't let go of his teddy, not even for me to hold, but he had a box of raisins clutched in his other hand and he didn't want to part with them either. I did actually feed him two to try and start him off, but then I left him to it. He manoeuvred it so he could clutch both his teddy and the raisins in one hand and stuff his face with the other.
I am looking to get some really nice raisins to put in little tubs for him. These were on offer, but some of the lovely big Australian lexis raisins would be much better for him.
LoopyLinz - actually let the man come to the tip - if you make it look immaculate he will think you can do more than you can. Hugs.
Fairy Elephant - I got my single quilt from Matalan and Argos also do them, but I don't think they are as good quality. With little bear, however, I assumed regardless I would have to replace frequently
