Thanks elona
I think the"going off on a wobbly" is a very good description as mine does it all the time and even she doesn't know why she's doing it!
We will keep pointing out that we love her loads too (because we do!) and I know that she does try her best and it is a difficult time for her and anyone else trying to study
Have to sign out now as DD due home and I will hear those immortal words "Can I go on the computer? I've been reallllly gooood all day...." Great weekend to all - its been so nice to get to know some of you xx:jMay you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:0 -

Reverbe,
I know what I would say to you if you were a real life friend, iykwim, but it is really difficult over he internet, as I dont want to upset you or hurt your feelings in anyway, so all I can do is offer hugs and that I will always be here if you want to chat xx
Thanks xWhat Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Princess we have been seeing each other now for about 5 years. The situation with my friends work just gets worse and worse due to the economic climate and that compared with their work stressing and tiring my OH and the fact that we do not live near each other and til recently were both working full time including long hard hours for them means that we do not get to see each other as often as we used to. We used to only have weekends when I could travel to see them and also they work a lot of weekends and long hours due to the understaffing, having nobody to illness or holiday cover, computers going down etc.( They work in logistics putting food into corner shops etc)
MY OH informs me that they have been very ill , very stressed, gone grey and are under the doctor and I cannot see this changing anytime soon. I knew from Jan 08 that I would not be able to see them as often as before due to their work situation but never anticipated it being nearly a year between face to face time. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Ruby If I dumped them, not that I want to, I would probably never find anyone again. I have never been inundated with offers.Besides I have grown to be rather fond of them by now.
Thanks x
I am sure you would find someone else, because you sound lovely, but I would not dream of telling you to dump him or her, just that you need to clear some things up, tbh it sounds to me like you both need to clear the air and fund out how things stand, I hope it works out for you xx0 -
Afternoon peeps :hello:
Its been a lovely here today, sunny and dry nice drying weather, put the washing out earlier and have just fetched it in and put on a rack in the small bedroom to just finish off, dont you just love the smell of outdoor washing???
toasted muffins for brekkie
steak slices and beans at DS2 and DIL's for lunch
not sure about Dinner yet
Had a phone call from DS2 this morning asking us to go over, so I was crossing my fingers all the way hoping it was what I thought it was.
As some of you know DS2 and DIL cant have children, so decided to go along the adoption route.
They jumped through every hoop that was put in front of them, and as we will be the main baby-sitters as and when needed,we had to have CRB police checks, so we are now official baby-sitters.:D
While we were away they went in front of panel and were matched with a little 1 year old boy with blonde hair and blue eyes like DS2 everything was passed and they had contact for the 2wks we were away, LO took to them straight away.... now heres the good bit.....the outcome of all this is they now have a DS and we have a DGS.:j :j :j
He is sooo cute, a bit timid and it will take time, but fingers crossed all will be well.I must say I shed a few tears on the way home, tears of joy though.
off to read back now,
Anne

Pippa S - what lovely news! I am so pleased for you. :j:j:j
Reverbe - you know what is best for you. If it all suits you then knickers to anyone else. I know that doesn't make things always easy, however, so hugs.
However for all those who think that they could never find anyone else, here is a linky http://www.amazon.co.uk/Game-Neil-Strauss/dp/184767237X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1236358148&sr=1-1 to The Game by Neil Strauss. You can always find someone else.
Well, the kitchen is looking slightly cleaner, baking potatoes are in the Remoska, mince is defrosting for chilli con charlie, and little bear is still blessedly asleep. I may give my back a rest and start the shaping on the front of the baby sweater that I am knitting for the grandson due for next door. My knitting either goes in leaps and bounds or glacial speed, and I am trying to find a bit of an even way to do it with this project.
And evil cat has complained so much at a shut door she has hiccups.
Hugs to all.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Also, while I was out a new lamppost sprouted about an inch from the old one - which is still there! No idea why.
I mean, daffodils I expect this time of year, but lampposts?Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
