    Hi guys,

I am pooped this evening. can't wait for my sister to bring back DD1 so that I can slip in to something more comfortable, namely my nightie. I have been totally immersed in the front garden today - it took a lot longer than I had reckoned on and I still have some painting and a hedge to cut on Monday (when the kids are in school). Still I can walk in to the shed now :p and have amassed a load of rubbish that my BIL will kindly take to the dump tomorrow.

I just need to hoover the lounge when they have gone to bed and put a wash on and that is me done for this evening. There is some mending and ironing to do but instead I intend to settle with my 'touch of Frost' book and some cold tinnies as I reckon I've earned it. :D

I had a compliment today from the postman about my hair - probably because the rest of me was hot, sweaty and filthy :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I was right in the middle of ripping out all the ivy off the fence and looked a sight, it was very unexpected and nice though, and a long time since a man has commented on my appearance.

Congrats to Pippa.S and family and also Lamewolf. :T :T :T

Bargainbird, Awwww he is gorgeous. xxx

Reverbe, gentle hugs to you hun. xxx

Gentle hugs also to pen-pin (I hope you have felt better as the day has gone on) MSD and alnyone else who needs one.

Right off to finish cleaning the lounge and then settle for the evening.

    Smoky. xxx

RedRuby - I think it's three options and an optional extra. I'm sure that's what my two had to choose, but it may have changed. After all, with my youngest now 27, it was a few summers ago!

Ooh, by the way - DIL2 felt the baby move yesterday, and heard its heartbeat when she saw the midwife on Wednesday! Everything's progressing well but she is Rhesus Neg blood type so has to have a jab, apparently. I need to look that up on google.

I am also rhesus negative so you need a jab after the birth of the baby of anti D . If your baby is a different blood group to the mother then the they develop antibodies to kill off the intruder blood. It works on the next child and subsequent children protecting them from mixed blood crossing the placenta and making the 2nd, 3rd and further children prone to requiring a blood transfusion. So each time you give birth/lose a baby then you require an injection - it was all via rhesus monkeys the research was done.

Evening all, :hello: it has been a beautiful sunny day here, got 3 loads of washing dry!
    Thought I would share this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=vFm1PfGyLME I think this young lady has a such beautiful voice and Jools Holland is as good as always! Reminds me a bit of Elkie Brooks.
InSearchofMe - update re Backmagic – made the mistake of doing 2 x 5 mins sessions second day (think I should have worked up to this a minute at a time!) Missed the next day, started again and so far so good (just doing a couple of minutes each time). Will update again next week.
    ((((((Reverbe)))))))
Bargainbird – Spike is such a stunner!
Well done Sybil (and laughing at your spring sprouting lamp posts – that is a first!)
Hester –fingers corseds that OH’s work at school leads to something permanent. Isn’t that typical that the workers, like your DD, who deserve (and have worked for) their bonuses get zilch and the fatcats who have failed in their jobs walk away with millions. Something very wrong with our society.
Chrisca so pleased your DGD is “looking brighter” hope she is soon fully recovered from her ordeal.
Hope you enjoy the wine and tag team ironing VickyA (I am one of those strange people who actually likes ironing :o )

    Just got to share!!!!

DS1 arrived home, chased him up on his computer and stripped off in the lounge put nightie on - clothes dumped on table and doorbell goes. It's a policeman wanting to speak to DS1 as he had witnessed an incident.

Without thinking I invite him in and call DS1 down to have a natter with him, halfway through realise that my clothes are in plain sight and yep knickers complete with pantyliner top of the pile    Dived past him to turn the pile over and he said 'it's allright I hadn't noticed them' OMFG of course he had - it was obvious:o :o:o:o I'm still beetroot. That will teach me not to strip off down here! Aaaaaaagh!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Evening peeps

i`ve only just managed to get online for the first time today it`s been really busy, the company that i w*rk for has started consultations for job losses and redundancy so it`s a very worrying time for us all. I`m trying to ignore it for the time being otherwise i shall end up in a state :o

Squiggly Diddly - The recipe for the blackberry oat bars is here http://www.asda-recipes.co.uk/recipe/867.html they are lovely and i`ve made them a few times for lunchboxes and they freeze well too.

Bargainbird - I didn`t manage to get the baking in the freezer straight away, i did that today when i came home. I discovered that Mr Sunny had taken a full bag of biscuits, two pieces of parkin and some oat bars to w*rk with him  the rest is now safely hidden amongst the cold stuff :D

    nic1lou2 & purpleclutterbuck - Hello & welcome :hello:

    Loopylinz - ((((HUGS)))) for you!

Pippa S - Congratulations for you and your family

((((HUGS)))) for anyone that i`ve missed, i have to sort the kitchen out now and find time for some sleep before rising at three thirty again for w*rk  today has been one mad rush but hopefully tomorrow will be a slower pace.

    Have a good evening peeps.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Thanks for that, Susank, you've explained it really well.

    Smoky    !!

Bargainbird - your new LO is gorgeous, I'd love to give him a cuddle!

Well, not much typing from me - I fell over on the garden path today and slammed my hand down hard, so my tendonitis is pretty painful.

Hope everyone has a great evening - I hope to do some catching up with the thread tomorrow, amidst all the packing!

Hi Folks – been MIA due to PC and connection problems, plus not having a lot of OS to report. With only the two of us and both doing things, and a tidy DH, things just get done and it is not always obvious once we have had a blitz through. Load of washing out and dried very quickly with the wind. Weather not been as good this week, had some overnight rain, and a couple of overcast days, and it has been very windy yesterday and today, though not what you would call cold 15-17C, the forecast for the next couple of days is good and 19-21C, so fingers crossed. Life is very good with us, and I sometimes feel a bit guilty as I know things are not good for many of you.
On the Spanish news last night it showed pictures of the snow in the north of Spain over a foot deep, trying to find their cars brushing it off with a sweeping brush, road signs nearly obliterated. Also it has been much windier up there, damaging roofs and signs, hope the wind didn’t reach Cornwall with N9eav having his tackle out!
Welcome newbies :hello: sorry not good with names, but nice to see you here.
It is 10 years now since DSwas picking his options, he main consideration was dropping Music and Art which he hated, and including PE, avoiding technology and managing to do IT instead, he ended up with French, Business Studies, IT, Geography and PE, as well as double English, Maths, and the sciences. Did he do enough, nowhere near, but did enough to get them, and get onto A Levels, did he do enough then, no way, but managed to get into a reasonable Uni via clearing, and get his degree. Someone once called it a bus trip, if you do enough to get to the terminus, and get onto the next bus, no one looks at your scores later on, and that is very true.
Hester – I think you do miracles, and always keep so upbeat too. So pleased to hear of DH’s 2 weeks stint at school, I am sure we are all keeping our fingers crossed for him to get a position there and away from the evil clutches of your BIL’s.
Moliere – well done on what you have achieved so far, preparing food and cooking always seems to interrupt what I want to do! Susank was right, I am RhNeg and DH Pos, so needed the jab after DS in case we had any more.
Jayward know you haven't been very good, so big (((hugs)))) to you.
Pippa.S congratulations, what wonderful news. Silvercharming - fingers crossed for the job. Chrisca so pleased your DGD is a bit brighter
Pen-Pin Hugs to you hope you got some pain relief. As for DD I can totally sympathise as I was the same, luckily didn’t start until almost 16, suffered terribly until going on the pill, and then had to stay on it constantly, which I used to suffer once every six months for 11 years. Later on after being sterilised I ended up on the pill again for the same reasons, and eventually a hysterectomy put me out of my misery. Best thing I ever did. Even now HRT suits me, and have just been taken off it due to BP, but hope to get back on it in April.
Tru think you need to set some ground rules, I never related much to the females at work, I don’t watch the soaps they loved, preferred to talk cars with the guys moggins hope you are getting sorted Reverbe think you need to qualify why not entitled to a pension, sounds strange to me, I agree with Elona – there has gotta be better than thisand after being in management myself and highly stressed, needed DH & DS to keep me on an even keel, I think you need to investigate a little more (hugs)
Belated birthday wishes to some of you. :bdaycake:
Halight hope you find work soon, enjoy the twins while you are at home. Good luck to all or family members seeking work.
Betheebee –sure you don’t fancy a month in Spain, we need to decorate through, and it is not our favourite occupation!
Csarina – well done on the house, I am sure the lack of dizzy spells is related to DH having more to be interested in. At the same time my DH has the same problem, and saw the consultant out here onWednesday if you want to pm your email, I will send you a sheet they gave us on it, it seems there are some exercises canhelp. He also has to stay on the tablets for 6 months.
WS well done on making it to town. PPT sounds like you have had a busy day.
LoopyLinz maybe you just make a bit of an effort on the entrance and lounge, as the Dr will not be visiting all the house, maybe hide some stuff in other rooms.
Smokybabe Enjoy your tinnies, wonder how many times you have spoke, muttered, cursed at the photo? Enjoy your compliment, but keep your eyes out for policemen:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
 to anyone I have missed, not intensionally :grouphug: to all
    Take care - DG

A while ago (christmas to be exact) i met a very interesting man and we have been "chatting" online ever since ..... but whenever there has been a sort of opportunity to take things further i have sort of backed off a bit. anyhoo - have a good rest of the evening
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
