Welcome nic1lou2, kal25 and purpleclutterbuck - make yourselves at home, you will settle in quite quickly
Well done WS for getting out and about – a lovely day for it too (well it has been here in Kent!)
Awwww Pippa thats lovely news – congratulations
Went to see DGD today, no change apart from she looked a lot brighter and I managed to get a smile out of her :T her chicken pox are fading too. She will not take a feed from a bottle at the moment either, but that might be because her throat is still sore. As always thats for all your kind thoughts for her.
Gave the lounge/dining room a good spit and polish this morning and thats about as far as OS as I've been today. I was going to make some rock cakes but ran out of time before I went up to the hospital so I shall make some tomorrow instead. It's been a lovely day here, cold but sunny and blue sky and managed to dry one load of washing.
Have a good evening all0 -

I managed the walk without being given a piggy back home, we took MIL's dog too, so 4 dogs in all. We let them all have a cooling off in the stream. I was lovely to spend time with DH too
.
Tea tonight is easy T, Cheese/Pate with fresh bread, not very nutritional i know but it's Friday fgs:rotfl:
Tomorrow the car has it's MOT , wish me luck, we're also off to an open day at a college to see if DH can change career.

Evening all
Welcome to nic1lou2, kal25 and purpleclutterbuck.
Thanks to PP for your kind comments, hope you & DD feel better soon.
Hugs to Loopy & reverbe.
Well Done Sybil.
We have 2 fridges & one is always refered to as the beer fridge, though it's usually full food, lol.
Congrats Pippa, what great news.
Hubby's been asked to do the next 2 weeks at school, woo hoo, he trying to get his feet 'under the table' as there are 2 retirements coming up this year in the caretaking team & he is hoping to get a job there full time.
I spoke to my DD today as she sounded a bit down, she's gutted, she has a really high fuel bill & was due a bonus of £1000. She works for RBS & 'due to public concerns' the bonus has been cancelled!!!! So Fred Goodwin still get's his millions, but the general workers lose theirs, despite them having reached their targets & despite in being in their contracts.
Fortunately I have a little savings & so can help with her gas bill.
Hugs to those in need.
Hester

He looks so lovely, and so alert!
Cuddles from me...
Don't know how much I will get on this weekend. Last weekend was rather upset by little bear's sleepless night, but this weekend it is a house emptying weekend - I'll try and get a tally but I have thrown out three bin bags today, the recycle bin is chock full and there is (still!) a boot full of books! You can't tell anything is missing.
