  • I ll use Friends and Family discount, thanks very much, it s lovely
  • using family and friends link the prices seem very high for one night - I'm not sure the discount is being applied and the rate preference box doesn't show 'friends' it shows 'best available'. Prices are starting at well over £100 per night ........

Normally you can get it discounted (typically half price) if you purchase a voucher at reception when you check in. Otherwise, you can always find a good cafe nearby, reception can normally recommend one for you.

    Hi,

The website gets a little confused if you're trying to get multiple quotes at once, or change dates etc. a lot. To check you're getting F&F, start from the very first page linked to, and go straight through with the booking. For F&F rate you should see the best flexible rate [STRIKE]crossed out[/STRIKE] with the F&F rate beneath it.

If you're still having problems try clearing your cookies and starting again. Hope it works out for you :).

I have found you need select the Friends and Family from the left hand side, as some times it changes. You might need to go back to the starting point if it doesnt appear in the box!

Hello, thank you for this link, really useful and generous.
I was just about to make my booking via the F&F link for HI- Bristol airport, reduction of £20 to £60 for a double room, when I realised they don't accept my debit cards - I use Visa Electron and Solo/Maestro.

If I were to phone the call centre number given on that page, would I be able to benefit from the same discount?
    Many thanks

I solved the above problem by calling HI-Bristol Airport and they honoured the discount over the phone with my card. The next problem i have is that the print button on the voucher is not usable.... anyone else have this problem??
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi,

Do you mean the link from the webpage doesn't work, or you can't open the voucher at all?

The direct link to the voucher is

    http://images3.ichotelsgroup.com/cq/etc/media_library/pdf/ihg/amer.Par.0002.File.tmp/Voucher.pdf

If you're having difficulty you could always print a webpage version of it and fill it in at the hotel.

    I hope that helps!

Using one of the codes of the first page (Thanks again for an excellent post)

we have recently stayed at a Holiday Inn (Hemel Hempstead) as advised on this thread,

we checked out the breakfast rate at reception on arrival, this was £14.50
if you turned up the following morning and requested breakfast

however if pre-booked at reception in was £9.50 with kids eatting free
this was for an all you can eat hot and cold buffet breakfast

guess which option we choose ;););)
