Normally you can get it discounted (typically half price) if you purchase a voucher at reception when you check in. Otherwise, you can always find a good cafe nearby, reception can normally recommend one for you.

    Hi,

The website gets a little confused if you're trying to get multiple quotes at once, or change dates etc. a lot. To check you're getting F&F, start from the very first page linked to, and go straight through with the booking. For F&F rate you should see the best flexible rate [STRIKE]crossed out[/STRIKE] with the F&F rate beneath it.

If you're still having problems try clearing your cookies and starting again. Hope it works out for you :).

Thats better:beer:. Definately okay to book with this code and print the voucher off - won't have any probs at checkin...?

Could anyone please confirm what the latest name and location is for the Friends and Family voucher? There seem to be 3 names mentioned on the thread, I'm not sure which one is the best to use - is it the Anthony Bainbridge one? Thanks for any info and a special thanks to OP.

Although obviously it can't be 100% guaranteed, the link has been authorised by senior IHG management and IHG continue to promote it to staff. The payment is taken in advance and you're only authorising them to deduct £x from your card, so they can't adjust the rate without your permission. All in all, I'd say it was almost impossible that you'd experience any problems.

Once booked there's no link on the reservation to who's link you booked it through so you can basically put whatever you want. Either my name or Anthony's should work fine.

if you read through the last 10 pages you will see that holiday inn have removed kits link as he has broke the rules of the friends and family rate so its best NOT to use his name

and the hotel CAN and WILL charge you full rate after u have already paid the discounted rate if you fail to turn up with the voucher

Any idea what's going to happen after the 31 of May, as that's the date specified on the Voucher?

Reason I ask is that I'm looking to book a room for October, would this be okay (provided I've got my voucher too :) )

Rooms only need to be booked by 31st May, you can stay after this date. I've used this for New York in April and also have a booking in London for June.

Not true. If you call 0800 434040 and explain why you're not booking online (debit card, etc.) they will book it for you.

Firstly I didn't break the rules, it was removed as the link got put into the MSE newsletter. Secondly, there's nothing on the reservation linking it to the web address you used to book - so you can use any name as the vouchers are retained locally by the hotel.

Again, incorrect. Most hotels do not even ask for the voucher. If they do and you've forgotten it, IHG policy is to have reception print one out or arrange for one to be faxed over. So, although obviously you should try and take the voucher, don't worry if you forget, it's not the end of the world.

No offence, but if you don't know the answers to a question please don't make them up - hotel rooms are expensive things and it's not right to have people worrying for no reason.

so so wrong! ur hotel may not ask this but they should! just cus u dont abide by the rules dosnt mean the rest dont either! if u guys choose not to take a voucher you will be charged the full rate of the room (u have been warned!) they do not get one faxed over! its an online booking for gods sake! is the computer gona fax it??? i dont think so! you need to stop tellin me to stop giving out the wrong info an start tellin the truth yourself! you HAVE been reported to MSE for informing these genuine unsuspecting people of the wrong information! an potentially costing them more!

for gods sake guys abide by the rules! you can see urself from the booking link its book online and the vouchers MUST be present but its ur money an if u want to take the risk on the words of this idiot then go ahead but i guarentee you you wont be happy an you will be posting back here in a few months, after your stay when u did forget ur voucher an u had to pay more!

ur here for the discount after all so why put yourself in a position were u will end up paying more! as you will be charged the full rate at the time of arival which is always more anyway!

    its ur choice!

I'm not going to get into an argument with "u" [sic] but in the end I work for Express by Holiday Inn full time, dealing with reservations day in, day out. If you think you know better than me and want to report me for "abuse", that's fine. I'm sure anyone who tries calling 0800 434040 will see just how great your knowledge is.

Sorry you have to read the stupid comments of an idiot when you have given so many so much help including me.

Why not report him as abuse?

He can't even write properly as he thinks he is sending a text.
