Hi, washing on, and slow cooker with beef stew for tea as today will be fairly hectic. DS1 went to school dressed as Hiccup the viking (for World book Day) DS2 is sulking as he has to miss Nursery today as he has a hospital appointment. I just hope we see the correct consultant today, last time I waited over an our to find out we should be seeing a different consultant! I've had to arrange for my neighbours to pick DS1 up from school as we won't be back in time (it was supposed to be a friend but they went on holiday for half term and her husband was taken ill so they are still abroad until he is passed as fit to fly) Tonight is Beavers so tea will be eaten in shifts. I managed to do a new geocache on the way home from school which was good, I've got another Dentist appointment tomorrow which will hopefully stop the toothache I 've got.

Hugs to all that need them.

WS My DS have both been like little Bear. I have found having a naughty step to be quite useful for when they do something naughty repeatedly. I also found that they needed more exercise than some of their friends. Their naughtiness was definitely reduced if they went out for a walk / to the park or to baby gym. Our sports centres put on reasonably priced gym classes for toddlers, which were fantastic

Kal25 - I slept in a bed in the same room as little bear's cot for a few nights before making the change, so he knew what a bed was for, and he switched over no problem. He now even makes his own way to the bed for daytime naps. Good luck

  • Hi

Not been about for a few days due to being busy and not caught up with the thread yet from last few days.
Just about to do MrT shop online and order mea for the month from local farm shop.
Have mince on the go for a Shepherds pie later and some chicken thighs in SC to make some chicken pies for the freezer for DS.
DS was at his consultants review yesterday and she thinks he has ADHD as well as his Autism and other things he has:rolleyes: ......apparently they dont formally diagnose it till 6 years so he has another appt for the summer and they are sending ADHD nurses out to school to see him.......with a view to starting him on meds:eek: , not happy about this at all and will need to think it through at length. Consultant was quite shocked by what we have to deal with on a daily basis but to me it is just our life:rolleyes: .
Having said that I hve been a bit down recently and cried for a long time last night over this ADHD thing.....its just another thing for DS to cope with and it gets me down.
Anyway must get the shop done.
Hugs to anyone having a hard time at the mo

Fairy Elephant - does your employer have a policy for Carer's & reducing their hours (like those for parents of under-5's)? That may be an option to help you and your parents to reduce your hours.
