    Morning all,

We have just had freezing sleet  , and have been told it may snow later, I am off to a meeting at the school with my dd, and then off to hit the shops, so hope its not too bad.

The meeting is re my dd's options, and we have had to decide which four she wants, we were still talking about it at 9 last night, but think we have come to a decission now. I am going to treat myself to a few tops while in town, I am very tall and all my clothes seem to shrink in length and I end up pulling them down all the time, so will have to search out the tall range.

Os today I have a wash on at the moment, which will have to be hung indoors, and will have a good tidy and hoover through before we go out, dinner will be fish fingers and chips with beans or peas :D , although the f/fingers I buy have gone up 20p in the last week  .

csarina, I hope you get the insurance sorted, I have found that the best way to deal with these people is to remain calm, but very insistant, I once have a travel claim which took me over a year to sort out, but I got all the money back eventually, good luck.

Chrisca, still thinking of your DGD xx

Beth, as always you are wonder woman, take some time for you xx

Moggins, in some ways it must be a refief to you that he is gone, hugs x

Hugs to all in need, have good days all xx

    morning everyone.

Just as LO has got over her bug, OH now has it so he was up all night and i spent a pretty restless night on the couch :( Oh well, it was probably inevitable one of us would get it, im just glad it wasnt me! :p

Found some stardrops in Morrisons yesterday so i grabbed it, my first bottle. We are moving house next week so everything will be cleaned before it goes in the new house! Including the dog!

Made some spagbol and managed to get a couple of extra portions to stick in the freezer. Going to do something with potato wedges for today, im wondering how well they would freeze though?

Hugs to anyone who needs one! I think my OH could do with one! :p

To all you porridge eaters..............I am envious, my porridge is now a mixture of millet and rice flakey things.....a gluten free mix.

We have The White Stuff, coming down quite well, and starting to lie. Better wrap up a bit better...........can't stand the cold.

Off to eat the pretend porridge.........
Today, my BEST is good enough.

What an awful morning. I got off the train to a blizzard, DH who is across in Edinburgh today says there is no sign of snow. I was like a snowman by the time I got to work:confused:

    MSD, prayers for Tristan
Czarina, how infuriating for you, I would be steaming mad also.
Chrisca you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I hopw the wee one picks up today.
Hester I'm sorry to say this but BOW sounds liike a total and utter fruit loop. I really admore you for being able to hold your tongue with her
Celyn have a great day and enjoy it

And of course to WS, that special friend, I hope your lurgy is better today, take it easy and I hope LB calms down with his mountaineering exploits.

Tonight will be lasagne padded out of course with porridge :rotfl: that secret ingredient that DH loves but doesn't believe what it is. I have a mountain of shirts from DH that really need to be ironed but to be honest, should I bother ironing them all as he will not need a smart shirt every day now he is redundant Hmmmm. I suppose if I don't they will end up on the chairdrobe like so much else:o

Anyhow. Warm (((hugs))) to all those in need of hugs, those poorly, feeling down or who have family worries.

    bringht bleasings to you all

Morning all.........................(((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

I went back to bed and managed to get back to sleep, woke again just before 7am, laid until half past and then got up. OH is still in the land of nod.

Its the windows, door and the door frames frames I need to clean, use vinegar in water for the glass.........

I will be getting showered and dressed shortly need to be on the bus just after 9.30am to get into the agents with the papers.

Fingers crossed once we get into the house, I am going to have to be very OS to ensure the money side of things is cleared up as quickly as possible, have had to go out on a bit of a limb to pay for the bond and first months rent, it will take at least 8 weeks for the council to sort out the HB and CT. I am going to have about 4 weeks to plan this move very carefully, I want to move all the light stuff myself before we move the furniture........first to go will be most of the kitchen stuff not currently in use. I also need to fiind a carpet fitter, we are going to see if the landlord will allow us to put our carpet from the bedroom on the stairs, we have to remove everything from the apartment that was not here when we moved in, this includes curtain fittings etc....and the carpets. If you leave anything they charge you, thats why I want an overlap on the rent, if all goes well we want to move around 6th April, that gives me a week to clear out stuff thats on the walls etc, light fittings and freecycle stuff if needs be.

Soft furnishings will have to wait until I am clear of the moving costs.

Its a bit grey and dull this morning, yesterday was lovely, rain and cold einds forecast for the rest of the week, so will not be able to get back to the allotment before the weekend.

Right off for my second mug of coffee and a shower......................
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Morning peeps

hope that everyone is ok, i`ve been mia for a few days so i hope that i`ve not missed too much. I have been reading here and there but not much has been happening.

Light covering of snow here this morning but its freezing cold, very sunny though so i shall nip out early with the houndlets just in case its not very nice later. Asda delivery will be here this afternoon, i`ve ordered a big staples stock up and i`m not quite sure where i`m going to put it all thb but as the free delivery codes are getting quite rare these days i wasn`t going to waste one that dropped into my lap :D

I shall make another cuppa and then tootle off into the kitchen to empty the wm & dw. This afternoon i`m having a bakeathon to put some goodies in the freezer and make two batches of soup to freeze for lunches this coming week, i`ve decided on lentil and bacon and chicken noodle with sweetcorn, must make some blackberry oatbars too YUM.

    Havee a good day peeps.

    Morning all

Yesterday turned into complete pandemonium. I had to hang around waiting for some phone calls so that held me up trying to get into town to get the bits I needed for DD's costume today.

Then I got called in for a last minute job interview. I'm not sure if I'm hoping to get it or not as it's extremely long hours (8.30am to 5pm) but they would be happy for me to leave at 4pm on a Thursday so I could still get DD to ballet class. I just don't know if I could do justice to the family if I worked those hours.

Finally got DD's costume finished around midnight last night, she is so happy with it that I'm glad I made the effort though. She wanted to go as the Worst Witch and her costume is totally correct apart from the hobnail boots (try as I might I couldn't perform that miracle)

Today I have to visit the oldies and sort out their problems and take them to the local shops. Hopefully that won't take too long so I can get home and do some housework before I have to get DD to ballet classes again.

Tea will be, I don't know, if I get the chance to eat today it will be a miracle.

Morning everyone,I'm a bit late getting up today. We did'nt get in until midnight after our day out taking our grand-daughter for her interview at Manchester uni.We then went to have dinner at our daughter's who lives down there and by the time we got home it was very late.A very long day indeed.
Top that with me not being able to sleep as I was so upset, the realisation of her going away is becoming too real now.I had a good cry when I woke up.
I know I must be sensible but I'm finding it very hard as we are close.
Anyway, sorry rant over.Today,I'm just going to catch up on a bit of tidying and I have some washing to do also I need to see my doctor for a follow up apppointment.I think I'll put some soup and a stew on first.
It's very cold and frosty but gloriously sunny.
(((hugs))) to all that need them.
To everyone else have a good day.
    Take care.........

Well, thought I would nip in here before getting on with my day....I need to bung on another layer of spray tan over my 'decolletage'. I'm not like most people, I hate looking all swarthy! But it's needed to avoid looking even paler than my normal self on stage. Got quite a lot done yesterday, but it still feels like there is a lot to do. Am listening to our new chorus CD as I type. It's fabulous!

Still got to finish packing of course! Have found most of the bits and pieces I need.

At friends to have nails done - natural or French being the order of the day for chorus. It used to be bright red!

OS, there is much clearing/cleaning/prep of meals to do here before I leave well before the crack of dawn tomorrow.

I'm sooooooooooo excited. I'll post here when I get back to let you all know how we fared in the competition of course!

Hope you all have a great day.
