I don't think I've ever seen so many people go quite so nuts over quite so little money...

How much do you get paid per hour?

Enough to keep me happy. Regardless though - you would have to pay me a lot more than 20 quid to have me endure the pain of filling out a bank applications form!

    I hate those things!

Took me 2 mins.... then another 2 mins to fill in cheque and pop in envelope. I actually park right next to a post box at work so no time taken out there and no stamp!!

I sent a cheque with proof of ID which should have gone to them on Thursday as I sent it on Tuesday night after the last post. I fail to understand how can a cheque be presented so early as it should take 3 days to clear. Can anyone tell me why cheques clear that early?
I applied on Tuesday night and sent my chq on Wednesday Morning.

The Chq has been presented to my Bank

I have just logged on and my Account is set up with the £1 showing.

It took me about 5 minutes to apply and about 5 minutes to write out a chq and post it.

For the benefit of peabrain and supermankelly my conscience is clear.

    Thanks Martin.

Exactly, not a lot of work for the money. For me it is a 30 second walk from my house to the post box.

Took me about 5 minutes in total, including filling in the form and sending off the cheque. £20 in 5 minutes, thats £240 an hour!

Plus i might actually use the account as 3% is quite tasty

I'm just to damn lazy for those sorts of capers. 3% does sound good though - I didn't realise that the account wasn't too bad anyway

    Best Regards

I checked my account today and cheque has been received. I asked about the £20 and was told that it would be applied within 28 days from when the welcome pack was sent and mine was sent today. (I applied the morning of the email from Martin)
