Debate, Debate, Debate! Aren't there other threads for debates like this? Would you rob peter to give paul...........
I'm just guessing but was I the only one who read something about the 31st March. Just a funny feeling the £20 may not go in until after this date? Any views (preferably from non trolls)?

Hi Jen, If you go to ING website and click the login button you will find your accounts already set up.
As for the £20 I would agree with mau408.0 -
Well the offer was on when I opened the account just checked the balance the £20 not gone in. The word con comes to mind.
The £20 would not be showing yet as they probably have not received your cheque. Also the terms and conditions state that the £20 will be applied within 28 days. The word impatient comes to mind0 -

Well, I applied the morning of Martin's e-mail (so this last Wednesday), cheque in the post yesterday, so they won't received it yet, and when I tried to log in the website said I had to wait for them to receive my deposit, and then they would send the welcome pack which should take 3 working days from receve of the cheque. Have just tried to log on and website still says:
"We are in the process of setting up your account, including your PIN details. Please wait for written confirmation that your account is set up before attempting to log in online."
So that's why I was asking when the OP had set up his account.

Not to say libellous!
Still interested in hearing when the people who feel this was a con, applied for the account/sent the cheque/received their welcome pack. If it was some time ago, and after the 28 days, then fine, perhaps I would be suspicious, too. But my experience with getting loads of cashbacks, is that no Company has let me down yet.

I read that, too. If I remember correctly, it said cheques had to be cashed and balance in the account by end of the month and then cash bonus would be added either within 28 days or 28 days later. I'm not expecting anything to show up for at least a month after opening the account.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

I received this offer sometime last year. It was later followed by invitations to introduce friends and family for which they'd pay me £25 per new customer and pay them £25 for opening the account.
Needless to say I found 3 willing volunteers and I now have close to £100 in the account only £1 of which has been paid in by me.
The reason I added this post was that if anyone was thinking of doing a "hit n run" and closing the account after bagging the £20 they would miss out if this offer was ever repeated."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0 -
