I do use this on my face but always as the first area before the device gets hot & very few shots are used here. The device does get extremely hot & after 2 rows of ankle to knee it feels quite painful due to the heat. I unplug it at this point & let it cool down for a few minutes.0

Has anyone had long term results with this? I know it will be hard to tell if it will be permanent at this stage because the product has only been around for a year or so.... but I am thinking of getting one for christmas and I'm worried that a lot of people are reporting regrowth when they stop using it!
I would really appreciate feedback from people who have used this a few months ago and can see the results (no matter how good/bad they are).0 -

There is NO permanent solution. Yes whilst its being used you will see a marked reduction in hair growth but when you stop you will slowly see it all come back. You have to carry on using it, even if its once or twice monthly
Even electrolysis and laser hair removel is not permanent, only lasts for so long and then the hairs start growing again
Speak to any endocrinologist and they will tell you the same0 -
We can put a man on the moon. But we cant make a machine suitable for dark skin .I hope we have a breakthrough in technology for 2010
I just saw a new machine on QVC the other day which claims to reduce dramatically hair on ALL skin types...it's called the no!no! (supposedly no hair no pain). There wasn't many reviews on the internet so far, just ad's on tv programmes etc it seems. I think it's been out in america for a little while?
Anyways, probably a good 6 weeks since I last did any treatments, as I've been busy, and don't want to waste all the flashes doing it week after week...as one of the ladies above said I might try and persevere over christmas with it at maybe 3 week intervals and see how that goes. Haven't started to tackle my legs yet, but keep meaning to, just the time it takes is putting me off at the moment.0lbs/18lbs to get to club 100 -
Well i'm back from honeymoon so life is back to normal now. Haven't done any BSS for a month now. Like others I think I am getting regrowth on my underarms. I plucked my big thick chin hairs on wedding day as the BSS was doing nowt. They haven't really reappeared since! Only a few which I have plucked every 1-2 weeks since. So miles better. That said ... I feel stubbly due to a lot of little blonder hairs growing back. Hair under my chin area which did clear quickly has also started to return. Looks like I need to get back to it!! The only area really still ok with only 1 or 2 hairs regrowth is around my nipple area. Like the lovely ladies above I also intend to tackle my legs over winter in prep for next summer. Anyone done the line of hair from belly button to pubic bone area?0

Treatment diary update
7th August Pits on medium setting. (Not a good test as I'd epilated them fairly recently)
1st session - 22nd August - Pits, Nips, right inner thigh - fair
1st session - 23rd August left inner thigh and backs of both thighs - fair
1st session - 24th August rear bikini, left lower leg - fair
1st session - 28th August face, mid bikini, front thighs - fair
29th August - Woohoo! I've just taken a good look at my lower legs & I can definately see the difference between the treated & the untreated leg. There is still a lot of hair remaining but it's definately working. Of course it's too early to say if it will last but for me this is fantastic after only one treatment.:j
1st session - August 30th right lower leg - fair
September 4th - Have left my underarms to their own devices lately. Checked today & I can see large bald patches, yee haaa, it's working.:j

I'm starting to see a real reduction everywhere now though how long it will last is anyones guess.
From woolly mammoth to woman here I come!:j0 -
I have used it weekly on my chin and upper lip for the last 5 weeks. Fisrt on dark now fair setting and I am delighted.:T
Both areas have been very succesful and will now use it just often enough to keep it that way.
I have also done my armpits and bikini line and I am pleased with the results.I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -
cocktail_girl wrote: »Hi to gwhizz75 and anyothers wondering about longterm results with this device. I have been using this since it first came out and I have had very good results on my underarms - 95% of the hair has gone and now I only shave once a week! Went on holiday earlier in the year and for the first time ever I didn't have to shave or use Veet while I was away. So liberating!!
I do regular monthly topups, as advised by the sales assistant in Boots and quite honestly I am very happy with the results. My bikini is still a bit patchy, but I have not been doing this as regularly as UA, so not really worried. I am going to have a concerted effort over the winter on my legs and bikini ready for next summer.
Take heart everyone this does work it just needs to be worked at and some organisation.
I've been reading this thread with interest and like others am on the verge of buying this, especially now they are saying it can be used on the face, but would still like a bit more feedback.
Are there any users who are not experiencing any regrowth after the full course of treatments? It seemed like lots of people were getting good results after 6-8 rounds but after that the info seemed to drop off - did the OP's get bored and give up using it? (I have inevitably done this with any hair removal gadget and gone back to shaving)0 -

I used it for about 10 weeks prior to the summer. All leg hair and underarm hair went, as did bikini line. Then didn't use whilst in sun over summer and now all underarm hair is back as well as most of leg hair. Not to mention the bikini line! Now winter is approaching have started to use again but wish it had been permanent.... boo hoo0 -

Boots state on their website that " Permanent hair reduction will be seen after a typical 6 to 12 weekly treatments." They use the word permanent. This to me means for ever. Are they then not being truthful? Obviously it was the permanance claim that made me buy this product but from my results, it isn't quite living up to this.... I will keep on going though but would be interested to hear others experiences0
