Hi all, just about to do my 4th session on underarms tonight, might start on bikini line tonight aswell.
Imho, I looked at that one yesterday and the auction ended early as it was no longer available - must have sold it elsewhere or done a deal with someone on ebay.

A few people reported the price still being £249 instore even though the web price went up to £299 in early May. Does anyone know what the price is instore at the moment?0

Hi JustLittleOldMe, I think someone posted on here (sorry can't remember who) that you could get the bulb replaced for £50. I'm not sure how you would go about doing it but perhaps a someone at boots might b e able to advise?

hi girls, it's been a while!! looks like everyone's seeing some good results, woohoooo!! i've been going for a while now, and i'm soooo happy to report, pretty much everything is HAIR FREE, woohooo!! focussed on my bikini and underarms first, and they're all clear, just got a few more sessions to go on the legs and i'll be done - yeah, gotta watch the sun though...i'm so pale i've just gotta whack loads of suncream on, but if you tan, be careful with the SS.
Bosie84, yep, those black dots will go too...every bit of the hair goes, so there'll be no dots left to cause you any misery!!
good luck ladies, keep at it!!! xxx0 -

It was me. I phoned Boots CS to query this and was told £50. If I remember, there was a bit in the instruction book about sending the unit handset bit back (address was given) for bulb replacement but needless to say I've lost mine. I think you can download another copy though...must go check.
Edit: Found this....
What happens when the Boots Smooth Skin lamp runs out?
The Boots Smooth Skin lamp is pre-programmed with 10,000 shots of light. When the lamp is running out, a red light will flash on your console and it will eventually stop firing. A replacement handset will have to be purchased if this happens.
Is there a helpline if I need further advice?
Yes, the Boots Care Line staff are available on 0845 120 1511 to answer any queries regarding the Boots Smooth Skin. Calls may be recorded to help maintain our high standards of service.
Monday to Friday: 8.30am-7.00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 8.45am-5pm
So not sure now if they replace the bulb in your own handset or just send you a new one.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Has anyone with medium-olive skin used this machine yet??
I bought this, only to find that even though my skintone falls in the middle of acceptable skin tones, if you are of asian background, its not recommended to use this..
Think I may have to return thisWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

I was thinking of buying one & doing my DHs face as well:D
But hes very olive skinned, he looks Turkish or Indian in the summer. I could do it in the winter when he's as pale as an Italian:D0
