Just done 4th session on bikini line, 2nd on tops of feet and toes and first on under arms. I'm only managing to find the time about once a fortnight at the moment. About half the hairs had already gone from bikini line after the 3rd session (on 'fair' setting). Just one session on 'fair' has got rid of almost all hairs on feet, but not toes. I found my first session on underarms really difficult. I don't know why they suggest doing that area first as it is really fiddly - especially doing the right side with my left hand (as I am right-handed). And you need to be in front of a mirror too. I don't have time to do my legs at the same time, but will start on those ones other stuff is under control.

I have waxed my upper lip and will do that area as it re-grows - my theory is that it is only the growing hairs that are killed each time anyway. I didn' fancy the idea of shaving the area and being stubbly (I usually bleach or wax).

A word of warning - close your curtains before you start
Just got my trousers off to get started today - facing the window as the light is best there - when I heard a noise. I then noticed the top of a ladder appearing at my bedroom window - yes the window cleaner! Managed to grab my trousers and leave the room before his head appeared. I dread to think what he would have thought I was up to. I think I will close the curtains next time just in case as I never know in advance when he is going to arrive.

It's good to see everyone is getting on so well! I am going to do my 2nd session tonight (1 day early but don't think it will matter) on my underarms, maybe it's wishful thinking but I'm sure the hair is slightly finer already!

Jap200 your story about the window cleaner made me smile, would have been embarrassing if he had seen you, although I'm sure they are used to seeing lots of unusual sights!

Does anyone know why it cannot be used during a period?

I really don't want to miss a week as i'm desperate to hair free for our holiday in July.

I will hopefully get a tan, so i then can't use it for 30 days

It has been surmised that it is because you are more sensitive to pain during your period (they really should have explained the reasoning in the instructions as it would make one wonder if there is a bigger problem). I'm going to give it a go and see.

I used it during my period. Albeit at the end of my period. And my face is a long way from that area! ;-) Didn't notice any difference here tbh.

I've not noticed any improvement on my lip, chin area. Good job I don't have too many there (as yet!) Still plodding on with it though as it has not been long enough. Have tried twice a week now. The hairs there are bristly (sp) and really bother me. Anyone had any luck with their face yet ??

I wondered if it wasn't as successful on the bristly type of hair on the face and that was why it wasn't advertised as being able to be used there? Haven't tried mine there (yet) but I'd love for someone to post that they've gone from being a Billy Goat Gruff to a smooth peach with the SS machine. :rotfl:

aliasojo I have fine hair on face and its not doing anything on that.I would have thought it would have worked on bristly hair on face.As long as the hair has a colour i would have thought it should have worked.
I have been using medium setting but am now going for fair as thats supposed to be a stronger pulse .

Ouch i tried the "fair setting" on my arms and 1 hour later its still burning !My arms are brown so dont think that helped. But as they say no gain without pain !

This is my goal! I have what I would describe as bristly man "beard" under my chin.
So depressing. I'll keep you posted Friday will be my 3rd treatment and I have been using the Dark setting. Might move to the medium this week. I have noticed my re-growth is slightly slower by a day. But not any thinner.

I've been do my chin, top lip and hubbies beard and had our 3rd go last wednesday. No difference me so far really although I went and rubbed my rubbed when putting on makeup and c ouple jest fell out. Hubby has a small patch of dried skin (half a penny size) that fell off with a group of hair. We are both fair skin.
