After much research I've taken the plunge and bought the BSS the other day.

I was just wondering how those of you with the machine track where you;ve already zapped during your treatment? I've just done my first session and although the machine made an imprint in the gel sometimes, other times it didnt and I found it really difficult to tell which bits i'd done and which i hadn't.

Boots advises white eyeliner, does this work? My skin is so white i can't see how i'd be able to see the eyeliner against it.

    Thanks :o

I felt the same, I kinda just guessed and hoped for the best. I was going to buy a white eyeliner before my next session to try it out. Mind you, I cant say I've ever seen them, are they easily got?

Stupid question ... can we buy an eye liner in sainsburies? Do they do them?

Well I gotten mine today. Hubby was the guinea pig for the face. All fine - it was good for him to see what us girls go through. I've done bikini, under arms and tummy. It felt exactly the same as what I forked out hundreds of pounds on at the salon, the only difference being the delay between each zap - there's was just continous blitzing.

I would rather have a small delay and the money in my pocket. Excellent machine well worth it.

I first tried IPL back in 2001 at my local salon, and have spent a lot having top up appointments since. I can honestly say that this product seems to be doing exactly the same as the salon machine & I have no plans to go back to my salon. Wooooo!! :)

You can buy any white liner. I bought a rimmel one. Make sure its the pencil liner and not the liquid. I use it mostly to cover up the many moles I have, as I dont wanna burn myself!! it is useful for drawing lines of where you have covered, but make sure the pencil is sharpe otherwise it doesnt draw on skin very well/not at all.

I have just completed my first real treatment tonight. It was on my chin and under chin area.
The only reaction I got was a very warm feeling on my chin like when you touch a warm oven glove when you take something out of the oven. It was quite intense but as others have said only for a second or so and no lasting feeling at all. I managed to do each side of my chin one shot each side and then 2 shots under my chin and it was all over. No reactions thus far although I did wipe the gel off and then added some moisturiser afterward's. I look forward to getting my white eye liner and then attacking my legs and armpits.
Anyone know what happens if by accident you did 2 doses on top of each other?

It could agrivate the skin but usually when you accidentally overlap treatments here are no real side effects. I wouldnt double up purposely. Saying that tho I had it on the lowest setting but accident, did a few zaps, realised my mistake, and then re-did it on fair (the setting i wanted it on). It made the area slightly itchy but a long as you use aftersun or something soothing after it shouldnt be a problem.

I just read the instruction book and it says the hair has to be darker than the skin. Thats ok for my legs and bikini line but i wanted to do my arms where the hair is really light . has anyone used it on light hair and found it works ?

Blimy I would be rejoicing if my arm hairs were really light! I wouldn't bother lol. Mine look as dark as the hair on me head ...
