At the risk of sounding very, very stupid - I can't work out how tro use the perfume atomizer in the green and brown square box Olay GWP
.
Could anyone please shed any light on how it works?
TIA xx
Edit - have now worked it out - I just needed to force it apart to reveal the little glass bottle inside!0 -

The good thing is ive got £97 in points:j ! and wanted to spend them in case they were taken off me which ive seen happen in the past to peeps.
I wanted to do an online order not sure what to get and dont want to waste points ( it took a llot of hard work to get them ) . Everything moves so quickly on the thread and there is so much I thought i would ask if there are any glitches /deals worth getting on line at the moment - ive had a quick look but nothing stands out as being fab ( dont need baby/kids stuff)
Hope someone out there has seen something - thanking you for any help
Unfortunately, you can't pay with points for an online order, unless you go instore and order your items there from Boots.com (there are specific tills for this, apparently they are usually near the photo desk).0 -
went to Lancaster this morning, no bargains:o loads of model me stuff and they also had some treseme conditioner clearance to £1.50 but that was about it.
got 3 meal deals - sandwiches were triple ones reduced to 75p x3, 2 packs of walkers reduced to 25p and a £1.07 bag of mini eggs and 4 bottles of diet coke ( 2 for £1.50), also bought an extracts mini for 1.62.
came to £8.90 and I got 328 points back - thought that was great but just looked at receipt and was charged 48p for each bag of crisps:mad: how dare they eh;) it says at the bottom of receipt that I have now bought 3 meal deals and only need another 2 to get one free - do I not need a card or something to validate this?? sorry, never bought a meal deal in boots before?0 -

You could be lucky like mimi who got 2 free:pThis is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M. Hutchins0 -
I have to say, I have had an almost orgasmic shop in one Boots store today
.
I wasn't going to bother, but I thought I'd just mosey on off to my city centre store, as I hadn't had a good old trawl there for a good week or so. No reduced NC except the bath pillow, no reduced Gillette sets, or putting sets, or Sanctuary travel sets. No Extracts minis or lip balm to be seen at all (but there are still tonnes of the Mediterranean minis on the shelves, so I might not see an Extract mini until the Med ones have gone).
I picked up a H&B mag, and a bath pillow for DD (a little thing to put away as one of her birthday surprises). Wandered over to the skincare section - and nearly dropped my basket with excitement. GWPs all over the place - racks and shelves and stands of them :T !!!!!
GWPs today include the S&G giftbag, the L'Oreal white dermogenesis gwp (I love this - the bag is beautiful), and - wait for it - Olay purple GWP (mega excited about this one, as I've never ever seen it on any shelves on any store here). The Vichy sets were there, as was a full stand of the La Roche-Posay sets. Inside each La Roche-Posay set is a voucher for a free Lipikar Hands cream (a big tube), but it does say you have to buy a product from the La-Roche Posay range to get it. I didn't try the hand cream on its own with the voucher, so don't know if this would work? The voucher has no expiry, says "while stocks last" and there was loads of stock today.
I decided earlier in the week that I would start thinking about making hampers for teachers for end of year, and for Christmas. So I got 2 of the No7 compacts, they worked fine with a perkie each (87p each to pay). With the GWPs, I've also got a real head start on all the hampers I'll be making :T .
I spent £12 today, on essentials, and came home with 4 bags full. My faith in Mr B is restored(and I'm grinning from ear to ear looking at all my pretty purchases. I might even have a stroke of them, I'm that chuffed :rotfl: ).

I have looked at the first post of the thread, but can't seem to find an answer to this:
I know the Olay purple GWP goes through for free with any purchase (only found out AFTER I'd bought an Olay item with it, of course!), but what about the S and G, L'Oreal and Vichy GWPs? Thanks for any advice.0 -
Oh, a couple of tips from my SS till transactions today -
Don't buy little bath sponges on an SS transaction unless you want an SA to help you - they're not heavy enough to register in the bagging area :rotfl: .
And the La Roche-Posay sets will show as an unrecognised item if you SS them. They don't need scanning at all (SA reliably informed me - she was the one who pointed out the hand cream voucher inside the box to me as well). My advice would be, if you're picking one of these up, take it to a manned till.0 -

They all do.0 -

As a comparative novice, could I just ask one more question - I don't go to any stores with SS tills - if you take the 'free' products to a manned till, do you just rely on the SA either not noticing or turning a blind eye? TIA0
