Thanks jazzteddy-im such a stick in the mud when it comes to perfume, always Chanel or Lancome but might give this a go (do have 1 or 2 points to spend after all
)
Naughty, but nice! I now have amongst others,
YSL Elle (which has a GWP right now) and smells fab,
Moschino I Love Love which is rather citrusy and one of my favs,
JLo Glo, Lacoste Touch of Pink, D&G Light Blue,
Guerlain Insolence was a complete bargain as this is usually £40 but I paid just £10 with points,
Ghost and Ghost Sweetheart, Kylie Darling and Sweet Darling, Christina Aguillera Inspire,
Tresor by Lancome as its lovely, Anna Sui the one with the peacock shaped lid,
Ted Baker ladies, some sets of random mini fragrances, a Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely handbag spray set
and Miss Dior, classy and my complete favorite. All with points, all as gift sets, all reduced too.
I am so spoilt for choice.......I am a very naughty teddy...Who just loves to smell good!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Not using them all at once, just have a choice of 4 or 5 at a time.
Makes a change from using points to buy phone top ups which are very practical...but not half as much fun0 -
i saw 3 bottles of s&g body scrub warmin stuff on clearence shelf reduced to £2.47 each, quickly grabbed all three, went to the till grinning to myself and as i expected the till took off another 1/3!!! u would of thought id won the lottery i was beaming so much!!!!
Hi
Is it the 'some like it hot' that you bought?
If it is, be careful with it as it really burns.

You definitely have more fun Bootsing with a friend than on your own! We did all our trip by bus, and as there are 3 involved, and one is hourly, it meant it took us 2 hours to do a 25 minute trip, but it was fun!
We had a half hour wait at Brentwood, and Dee had some P & P Body Serum, that had left her skin blotchy, and also this happened with a No 7 Day Cream. But she said if she tried to return it and the SA was "awkward" she would cry and wet herself.
Not wanting to have to witness this, I offered to do the transaction and explained the rashy business as if it happened to me. The SA was lovely, scanned everything, and asked me if I wanted an exchange or a gift card.
Dee had already told me she'd tried the sample face serum from the GWP and that was OK, so I'd picked up one of these and another GWP, and the SA then said "You've got £13.60 left".
Dee, who has dreadful arthritis, suddenly turned into Paula Radcliffe, and sprinted over to the No 7 display, and picked up another Serum, and another GWP, and I produced a Perkie, and we were given 10p change!!!
Needless to say, Dee was ecstatic, as I know she never paid anything like this for the items in the first place!I hadn't produced a Boots Card so it was all a bit anonymous!
When we reached Chelmsford, I went into ShoeSave first of all, as my bunion-accommodating shoes had developed a pleat in the lining that was rubbing, and showed the SA. She said "Oh, that must be really annoying, hmmmmmm, I wonder if we have another pair in your size? Oh yes, here we are", and swapped them!! No problems, just as pleasant and helpful as can be.
We then went into Tchibo and I got 2 £5-ish photo frames reduced to £1.30 each, gave one to Dee, which entitled us each to a free cappucino, and then went into Boots.
We each picked up a L'Oreal GWP, the one with the DVD in it, and Dee wanted some boring bits, like shampoo and toothpaste, and we went to an SA on the stand-alone till by the perfumes, complimented her on her lovely false nails, had a little chat about acrylic versus fibre glass, whilst she was putting the things through, and of course the GWPs went through for nothing!
We had lunch and then wandered around Boots, purely looking for discarded Perkies and between us found 4! So then I got a No 7 Bath Soak for £2.02, and gave another 250 points coupon, and a Strong Nail for 49p, using both my wombled Perkies, and Dee got some Lip Liner for 94p and also Bath Soak.
We collected 6 Clarins samples each from 3 different places, and had a nice wander round the market. We had collected our free Body Shop Choccie earlier so had those with our free Starbucks Coffee! :j
Then we got the bus to Brentwood, and then Romford, and before we got the final bus home, we strolled through the Mall, and found a Perkie outside on a seat, another one in one of the basket stacks by the door, a further one on the floor by the tills, and yet another one in one of the aisles!!!! :T
Our first thought is always "fancy just leaving them there!!!" and then remembering that until September, we used to do exactly the same - or worse still, say "Oh I don't want those!!!
So then we stopped at Starbucks for another free coffee, got the bus home, having been out for 9 hours, and then I just had time to show DH my stash and have a sandwich before baby sitting!
BTW, regarding skin analysis, we both had one of these done a couple of weeks ago - I think it was in the House of Fraser. My skin was 22 years younger, and Dee's was 25!! So we both felt pretty pleased! If only my feet were a couple of decades younger!

Am off now, having 'fessed up' to my massive perfume habit...
Its not my fault girls....
I blame Boots......
If they keep giving out extra points vouchers, then I will keep working out
wonderful ways to get them.....and spend them too.
Happy bootsing for those of you who won't be spending most of sunday, tied to the cooker, making a roast dinner, (lol!).0 -
Hmm, when you good people get these Clarins samples how do you do it? Do you just come out and ask if they have any samples? I've been thinking about my disaster today (my hand feels lovely and smooth by the way, but it should, seeing as it was mositurinsed twice in one afternoon with testers of Clarins face cream!) and I'm starting to wonder if I'm just too subtle about this, as I was trying to hint, making noises about liking the look of the products and heard good things about Clarins,a s well as telling them I have sensitive skin, but they obviously weren't picking up on my hints!
I'd feel cheeky just asking outright, but if you wonderful bootsers tell me this is the way to do it I'll try and pluck up the courage.OS weight loss challenge: 4.5/6 lbs0 -

Thanks to the OP who mentioned the Vichy kits going through free. There are four kits for different skin types and they all scan 0.00. Managed to get someand am keen to try - at this stage probably in five years when I've exhausted the other creams and lotions. The other free kits, name escapes me - La Rochay or something?? don't scan at all. The till says product not recognised and to set aside for assistance - which I quickly tossed somewhere out of reach.
well done nine tails for getting the GWP:T I saw them again today, was too chicken to try incase the till beeped. Thanks for being braver than me - and for letting us know:D0 -

We went to 3 different places and got 2 samples each time. Last week, there was a "special" on, that entitled anybody to just go up and get 3 samples each - some people had a consultation, others just had the samples.
What we do is approach an SA and say something like "I wonder if you could help please and recommend something for mature skin, or do you think it's beyond redemption and I should just leave it" - which usually works.Especially as I have lovely skin, with all these creams!
And when the SA has finished, we always thank her for her time and say something like "If we use these will we look as gorgeous and young as you"!
Could someone please explain the New Extracts please? I had a couple of doodahs from the ACM and none of the SAs could even find the stuff!! Is it a new updated version of Mediterranean please?
And do I understand there's also a coupon, with a different barcode, in the mag please?
Oh yes, regarding the ol' cake mascara, I used to spit on it (so hygienic!!) and use a little brush with a handle, and prior to that, I used to use Boot Polish, which was very effective, and gave me lovely Dusty Springfield panda eyes!
My Mum used gravy browning on her legs during the war (Bisto I presume!), and then drew a black line up the back to represent seams - nobody wore stockings without seams until about 1960ish. And I think it must have been in the mid 60s when tights were available. My DH always says that was one of the saddest days of his life!!!
I also fainted when I witnessed my older cousin piercing her sister's ears with a hot needle and a cork!!!!!

:rotfl: or very economical with the truth:rotfl:
well done for wombling your first perkie:T I wombled one in the street today. I have no shame;) mind you, it made a change from wrestling with a stack of baskets:D
I don't know how you do it Sally, (full of admiration) I noticed someone (Sorry, memory ?? ) managed to womble 9.
I look everywhere. I found this one by the side of an empty till, so I just put my mag on top of it then picked it up again. But why did I feel like I was being watched:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I felt like one of those people who walk around the streets looking for cigarette ends in the gutters, then pick up one half an inch long then ask for a light.
Hoping to shame someone into saying 'ere ya R lad have a proper ciggy'~ What goes around comes around ~0
