Thanks :A.
As a comparative novice, could I just ask one more question - I don't go to any stores with SS tills - if you take the 'free' products to a manned till, do you just rely on the SA either not noticing or turning a blind eye? TIA
I think so - unless you're Sandra Scarlett - and then you chat them up as they're ringing through your items lol :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
At the risk of sounding very, very stupid - I can't work out how tro use the perfume atomizer in the green and brown square box Olay GWP
.
Could anyone please shed any light on how it works?
TIA xx
Edit - have now worked it out - I just needed to force it apart to reveal the little glass bottle inside!
If you pull the silver base off, (its a bit stiff) you will see a glass bottle inside. The top should come off and you can fill it with your perfume of choice.
I haven't tried to get the spray top of yet. I had to get my OH to pull the silver bottom off. It is very porr quality though, sharp edges etc. hth~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

Inside each La Roche-Posay set is a voucher for a free Lipikar Hands cream (a big tube), but it does say you have to buy a product from the La-Roche Posay range to get it. I didn't try the hand cream on its own with the voucher, so don't know if this would work? The voucher has no expiry, says "while stocks last" and there was loads of stock today. quote]
Thanks balletshoes! Following my post (#1574) it's been driving me nuts as to the name. SS did not recognise and said to wait for assistance (no thanks!)
Kew has No7 Stay Perfect foundations (3.30) and compacts (3.18), good range of shades. Perkie accepted on Friday but can't guarantee this now going by some recent posts.
Westfields (Shepherds Bush) absolutely nothing. No more Origins freebies and SA doesn't know whether they're getting more in.
ETA: Westfields has the Vichy and La Roche-Posay kits.0 -

Good Lord! I can't afford The Guardian!!!! No, you just wander up to the till in any Starbucks and say "Hi! May I have a card please for the Fair Trade coffee that is free after 2 pm?" and smile broadly, in a "caring for the earth" sort of way.
They give you a little black wallet, and then you go to any branch of Starbucks, after 2 pm, after you've shopped in Boots (!), flash your card, and they don't do anything to it - but just ask you what size you want. :j
The first ones seemed to be WWF - Wet, Warm, but Free, but I've found that if you ask them not to overfill the cup with hot water, they are much better. I didn'[t discover this, it was posted by a lovely OP. HTH

I am 40 miles from my nearest ss till so rarely get to one too.
I try to have a few things in the basket with the gwp and I always try and chat while the SA is scanning the stuff.
I have found by trial and error that the younger SAs tend to be more willing to over ride if the till bleeps or just put it through.I always try and chat about how good the product is, or how reasonably priced.I am not above lurking until dragons go for their break ! Good luck ! xx0 -
Just returned from lunch with my cousin who was delighted with her bag of goodies from my stash! I am so artistic - I use a recycled gift bag, tastefully arrange a No 7 GWP, and anything else to hand, then put a large amount of OPs tissue paper on top and - voila!!
I think I must have clicked too quickly and missed a few pages on here.I now understand about the New Extracts (thank you OP who advised me), and reading through the last few pages, it appears they are produced in mini form - has anyone tried the vouchers on these please?
I keep seeing the words Vichy GWP and La Roche Posay - are these 2 premium skin care thingies that have magic GWPs please? Magic ones go through the till without a beep!
Also, I seem ignorant regarding the "two different barcodes for Palmolive" and would be most grateful if someone would kindly Help The Aged and explain that one!!!
And I keep thinking, though I know it can't be, that "NC" refers to Natural Childbirth!
Yep, you're right balletshoes, you have to keep the SA talking if you're at a manned till, cos a little distraction is no bad thing if you're in any doubt whatsoever regarding your purchase going through!

wots the s&g gift?
and does it come free with any s&g purchase - even though its 1/3 off?
chees!0 -
Hi,
Yes, some lucky posters have found Extracts minis which aren't Mediterranean flavour, and they work fine with both vouchers - the acm and the glossy mag.
The Vichy and La Roche-Posay are free samples - they are both in little boxes in the premium skincare section, with various flavours. The Vichy one is a magic one - La Roche-Posay shows as an unrecognised item, so take to a manned till.
Acm vouchers for Palmolive, for the same range and same dates, have 2 lots of different barcodes - so both could be used on one product?
NC is Natural Collection0 -

Its the S&G gift bag, it scans at £0.00 without any qualifying purchase. Its an empty bag, but will come in handy for hampers/gifts etc.0
