And finally, has anyone used the Extracts ACM/MAG vouchers on the SS tills and does it go beep or not?
I've used both vouchers on SS tills with no probs at all, scanned them as coupons after I had hit 'finish & pay'. After inputting the first coupon it took me back to finish and pay screen again, so pressed that again, then coupons and scanned the second one no probs.now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it0 -
Evening
Hope you have all had a great Saturday...mines been awful...alas...
Could someone recommend a body moisturiser, my skin on my arms and legs has become very dry.
Thanks for your time and ideas.
x
Have you tried S&g righteous butter, i've recommended it to loads of people and they are all hooked. There's 1/3 off at the moment so it's £6.32 instead of £10, or there's a mini size with 1/3 off £2. HTH0 -
kittykitten wrote: »Hmm, when you good people get these Clarins samples how do you do it? Do you just come out and ask if they have any samples? I've been thinking about my disaster today (my hand feels lovely and smooth by the way, but it should, seeing as it was mositurinsed twice in one afternoon with testers of Clarins face cream!) and I'm starting to wonder if I'm just too subtle about this, as I was trying to hint, making noises about liking the look of the products and heard good things about Clarins,a s well as telling them I have sensitive skin, but they obviously weren't picking up on my hints!
I'd feel cheeky just asking outright, but if you wonderful bootsers tell me this is the way to do it I'll try and pluck up the courage.
I use a lot of Clarins, skin care, body care and make up, so usually start the chat with 'Can you help me, I have been using whatever, and its good/bad/ weird whatever, is there a complimentary product/different product, am I using it right/wrong, should I perservere/change - if they show me something else I will ask if they have a sample as I would like to try it first, and I usually get a few samples (if they dont have the particular item in stock they give an alternative)
I do go back to the girl in Debenhams regularly cos she knows me now and we always have a chat about how I'm getting on with particular products, and she always gives me something to try. A few weeks ago I booked a call back appointment with her after she had given me some products previously, just to see how i was getting on with them, and I was given a mini facial and make up makeover, with some more products to take home, a load more tips on how to use some of the Clarins make up I already have, and an invitation to come back again, all for free. Theres never any pressure to buy from there, and tbh if I see something I like I would normally buy it in Boots or from the Clarins website for the points or freebies, unless Debenhams are running a promotion themselves.
It obviously works in their favour a lot of the time, as i have purchased some of the things from trial sizes as I have really liked them.
Before I used Clarins, I was a Clinique girl, and did the same with them.

when i tried this she just said we dont have any samples and they were right in front of her!!! then i said it says on the counter you get free samples and a consultation and she just said no! BTW this was at debenhams, so she just put me off having any at all!0 -
hi all
went into the boots in hanley stoke yesterday, they had notice up saying no7 foundation half price then another sigh next to it saying can't be used with voucher, picked one up though and thought i would try, also picked up an item on the reduced bit and this had the same notice (voucher can't be used) Next went to get some tights some of which were half price and on 3 for 2, then got a colgate toothbrush reduced to 69p
due to the signs being up about the no7 stuff thought i would pay down stairs
the no7 item on the reduced bit went through fine, but the compact on the next trans beeped but lovely sa put it through manually :j
oooo, another stokie bootser0 -

Thats a shame - I must just have a lovely girl!
I found that the John Lewis Clarins woman is a bit like that, so I don't go there any more, even though I used to buy my Clinique there. The Boots counters I have gone to have been a bit hit and miss with their approach also, and found a lot gave me conflicting advice! The Debenhams girl is the counter manager and has shown to me she knows what she is talking about, so thats why I end up going back to her time after time really. I have to say though, that I don't go with the 'I'm going to get a rack of freebies' attitude, I only ever visit with a particular concern or query, so anything I do get free is something that I will potentially purchase from the company at a later date.
I find it astounding the amount of Clarins freebies that end up on ebay for instance, and people still buy them even though they could have asked for them themselves and got them for nothing!0 -
Hi peeps
Thanks to all who replied re the info about peel on nail polish. I checked the Avon site but couldn't find it, so I'll have another looksy later. Btw sally 06, I'm not sure what eyeliner I used to use 'back in the day' lol, but I could peel that off too ...!
Thanks too to those who replied re the delivery I didn't get, but have got now lol. Rang Boots and the parcel was recuperating after its journey, in the house next door but one - no card through the door thoughBoots CS asked if I wanted to put a complaint in, but I said no. The last time I saw the delivery man he looked stressed enough as it was

Not been on this thread since xmas and the 3 for 2s ( all seems like a distant dream now !) I spent so much I thought i had better give boosting a miss for a while - the idea is to save money after all.
The good thing is ive got £97 in points:j ! and wanted to spend them in case they were taken off me which ive seen happen in the past to peeps.
I wanted to do an online order not sure what to get and dont want to waste points ( it took a llot of hard work to get them ) . Everything moves so quickly on the thread and there is so much I thought i would ask if there are any glitches /deals worth getting on line at the moment - ive had a quick look but nothing stands out as being fab ( dont need baby/kids stuff)
Hope someone out there has seen something - thanking you for any help0 -

No Faberge eggs then? :rotfl: Bit messy spitting on the brush - it was the block lol. Can you imagine what it would have been like if they'd had testers for these  :rotfl:
