I know what you mean, It's painfully difficult to look at the premium ranges, Although if I had successfully trawled through all the lancome stuff it is unlikely I would have bought it as too pricey, although the gwp bag is lush - I was admiring it in Boots today.
I took the plunge last year and invested in some Lancome bits - only because I had read on here that there were 2 GWP and extra points - similar to this offer. Although it was an expensive outlay I did think it all worked out at good value - and I only like a bargain :rotfl:
Hope that helps
(No I don't work for Lancome)

I treated myself to a shopping trip this afternoon and "found myself" in Boots, as you do.... anyway, I know there have been questions before about whether you get points if you pay with a gift card and we all thought you didn't? Well , today I bought something on a giftcard but had to pay part of the cost in cash cos there wasn't enough on the card, and checking my receipts now I'm home and playing with my stash (again, as you do :rolleyes2) I see that I have been given points on the full price of the item, not just on the balance paid with cash, IYSWIM.

Thats not right. You can def order in store and pay with points. Lots of other people have done this with no problem. Your store must have it wrong.
BTW dont know what the cutlery is like.now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it0 -
Nothing much of any interest in Braehead today, some conditioners and own brand shampoos in clearance for 50p, and a Kypher (sp) sanctuary big drum (the one thats £20 )down to a tenner, but never bothered.
Got my mag with the extracts points, but had a sniff of them and didnt really like them, bit too sickly so never bothered with them either. Wanted to ask NO7 SA about the skin illuminator but she was faffing about dusting lipsticks - I must have looked like a tramp today so never bothered with meso left that too. All in all saved myself a packet as I only bought some painkillers cos of HC 1/2 price, some toothpaste and my lunch, but got another purkie.
Well done Lolly for contacting CS, heres hoping Karma's at work for the pair of them. x0 -
well managed to get to boots today and picked up one of the no7 compack foundation thingys lol but rest of shop was terrible decided to get some extra nappies whilst the baby event is on and 342 tried to use my £5 off £10 spend which th SA refused to even try when i explained i had spent over £10 she informed me very loudly that i was already getting one packet of nappies for nothing due to the 342 and did i want itall free the sales assistant next to her started to snigger and it took all my energy not to break down in cry there and then (emotional wreck recently lol) i said i would leave them then and she replyed "ive seen you in here often trying to con the tills" at which my friend stepped in and said in a quite tone that i had recently started treatment for cancer and this was first shopping trip in boots since way before xmas, i feel so low now and upset that the behaviour of one lady can ruin what was being a positive step for me.
Sorry to rant here -- on plus note im please with my little bits which included some med body range stuff reduced down to 50p but went through with another 20% off:j
Omg gorden bennet (my lovely Mum's saying) Lolly my blood pressure just rose even higher! I'm chuffing fuming for you ((Hugs to you)) xx
I do hope Mr Boots that you fix this situation has quickly has you fix the glitches that you discover are happening when you read on here. Mr Boots you need to get grip on SA's who talk to customers like this it's obsolutely outrageous. Has customers we don't talk to the staff like this although there are plenty of times when we would love too. You need to be telling the SA what a freaking nasty crow she is!! Sending her immediately for staff retraining and more importantly apologising to Lolly. It was a £5 voucher not exactly going to break the bank. Mr Boots if you issue these vouchers and the customers choose to use them could you explain how the hell it's conning the till using them? If that's the case don't issue them!
I do think Mr Boots you need to be very careful most of your products are over priced and can be found cheaper elsewhere. There is a credit crunch and our custom keeps your staff in jobs and you open. If your staff insist on being jobsworths and talking to your customers like carp the simple solution will be to take our custom to other stores. It's your choice!
Lolly I hope has you go on with your treatment you gain more inner strength. I have being there seen it done you need to talk pm me. There is light at the end of the tunnel believe me, even if you can't see it yet.
Don't let today get you down easier said than done I know. The stupid woman isn't worth it you are on a hard enough journey without incidents like this. When something like this happened to me during my treatment and I couldn't rip people's head's offI used go stand on the back doorstep and give a 2 fingered salute to the sky
Sorry for the waffle everyone but I hate carp like this.0 -
Well just a little bit of Bootsing for me today! Had a couple of items to return - 1 being hairdye cos I found it cheaper yesterday in Wilkos @ £4.99 (paid £6.84 in MrB's!!) so returned that and another item worth £22.99 so I was a bit naughty and treated myself to one of the S&G cosmetic bags cos it was so prettttty & 1/3 off!
Maidstone chequers:
They were completely oos of the Stay Perfect foundation altho SEL said £3.50
Transaction 1
Here is the S&G washbag - I paid £6.52 instead of £9.79 & earnt a perkie
Transaction 2
was getting hungry so thought I'd get myself some bits - carefully totted it up so as to be over £5 to get another perkie but then the till came up as £4.07!! Very odd I thought so then I quickly grabbed a bag of Mini choc eggs @ £1.07 which should have take me over at £5.14 but no still the till said it was under £5!! so then I grabbed a Kit Kat Chunky!! and finally the till say £5.43!!! Phew that was hard work! When I looked at my receipt it was because Mr B had given me one of those Meal Deal thingies at £2.99!!! What a bargain!! I picked up one of those Meal Deal bags for .98p - really cute & also asked for one of those new carrier bags at 10p and as has previously been said if you get it scanned everytime you shop in boots it adds 1 point!!
So ended up with the following for £5.43
Hoisin Duck Wrap - £2.75 }
Bottle of water - £0.58p } Paid £2.99 instead of £4.40
Bag of mini choc eggs - £1.07 } for these 3 items
Meal Deal bag - £0.98p
Eat Natural Choc/nut bar - £0.78p
Kit Kat Chunky - £0.58p
Reusable bag - £0.10p
Maidstone Fremlin Wharf store
Transaction 3
No7 StayPerfect Foundation New Ivory - £3.50each - got 2 with perkie so £2.00 to pay!!!
YAY finally found some!! there were some left at about 3pm so get yerself there!!
Only slightly annoying this is that I forgot to take the 250 No7 points voucher with me!! No matter tho as I've still got 2 perkies to use so will use it then.
:j :j :j
Can anyone tell me with regard to the meal deal thingy I am still waiting for my new ACM card and so I had the receipt validated - will this meal deal be added to my card along with points & count as one of my five? TIA0 -
Hi, I would just like to say I am disgusted to hear what happened to lollired. I'm so glad you have reported it and lets hope it gets sorted out with the appropriate action. If incidents like this didnt get reported then we let these awful people get away with it. (sorry I couldnt put what I would love to call these people) It must have knocked your confidence for six. So good on you girl and don't let this bring you down, Take care and I hope your recovery gets better and better by the day xx0

Managed to get 2 of these Mediterranean sets
http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=46885&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051
at £2 each today ..... it seems one third is coming off reduced Med stuff.
These were marked as "Clearance" for £10 in Cribbs Causeway today - which is MORE than the .com price! What were people saying the other day about not being enticed just by a clearance sticker.........! I suppose it might then have had a further1/3 off, but even so, I think that is rather naughty of MrB0 -

The Country Living hamper has become a bit of an obsession with me, I lived in hope of one being returned instore while the 75% sale was on, wouldn't care, I can't really eat biscuits and jam but it looks so cute :rotfl:
Me too. I was unable to get one instore, but managed to order 2 in the 75% off sale. I was chuffed :j :j I even had a confirmation email.
However when my order was dispatched the email said it was a partial order:eek: When I checked, the hampers weren't on it. They said they were out of stock. Sorry, but I never believed them. I think the warehouse staff had them for their midnight feasts.
So near yet so far. Maybe next year:snow_laug
