well managed to get to boots today and picked up one of the no7 compack foundation thingys lol but rest of shop was terrible decided to get some extra nappies whilst the baby event is on and 342 tried to use my £5 off £10 spend which th SA refused to even try when i explained i had spent over £10 she informed me very loudly that i was already getting one packet of nappies for nothing due to the 342 and did i want itall free the sales assistant next to her started to snigger and it took all my energy not to break down in cry there and then (emotional wreck recently lol) i said i would leave them then and she replyed "ive seen you in here often trying to con the tills" at which my friend stepped in and said in a quite tone that i had recently started treatment for cancer and this was first shopping trip in boots since way before xmas, i feel so low now and upset that the behaviour of one lady can ruin what was being a positive step for me.
Sorry to rant here -- on plus note im please with my little bits which included some med body range stuff reduced down to 50p but went through with another 20% off:j
I too am deliberately quoting in full in case it's being read. I have not done much bootsing for a while (needed to step back and count the pennies) but I realised the other day what a relief it is not to have to face the all too frequent not just rudeness but unkindness of too many Boots SA's.

You'd think at the moment that shops would be trying to keep customers, but I know someone who was recently given the finger by a John Lewis delivery man! When she phoned to ask to re-arrange delivery for the 3rd time (time off work each time, of course) and tried to make sure that the person she was speaking to had written down the details, she was told 'I do not like your attitude (she's quiet and always polite) - I am terminating this conversation'. And the phone was put down!

Sorry that's OT, but it's starting to be acceptable to be unpleasant to customers, and it's just horrid to be on the receiving end.

If every single one of us from here had just one week off bootsing they might start to take notice!

Lollyred1 I am so sorry you had to go through that. I don't think I could say it any better than passion8, she has summed up exactly how I felt when reading it. I'm  and :(. Poor you. I really don't understand how someone can be like that to another person, she and her nasty friend really shouldn't be working in a customer facing environment. Stick 'em out of sight along with any other Boots witches I say!

I hope it hasn't put you off hun and I hope you feel better soon. x

I do hope you are going to complain about that disgusting customer service
'con the tills' ??? sort your bloody tills out then and don't run promotions and clubs that give you money off, if your staff see it as such a bloody problem Mr Boots.
Do they really not realise that probably 20% of there profits come from this thread from people buying nappies and other essentials etc, id buy mine in asda/tesco if i didnt have another reason ;) to go to boots  and with all redundancies etc going on atm they should be thankfull to the customers that they still have a job unlike some of us

Don't let it get you down, I hope you do complain, you may feel better afterwards. :)

Shocking treatment from the folk that should be there to help us. Assistant is sometimes just not the right word for them!!!
I see the names of the person who serves me on my till receipt. Perhaps you could contact CS and ask she be retrained!!!!! Sounds like she needs it. Or perhaps she, and her friend, just need a short sharp kick up the butt!!!
Manners cost nothing but buy you so much respect. I think the world forgets this at times! Sigh
    Take care and stay bootsing.

Excellent news! I'm really pleased that you had the energy to phone and I hope there was some major grovelling involved. I hope the SA's got severely reprimanded.

Lollyred ,so sorry to hear of your nasty experience in Boots.I understand how deeply upset you will be at the moment. There is no excuse for being rude to customers and accsuing them of conning the tills. What a ridiculous statement!
Its so much harder when you are emotionally low and tired to get over these things. But really the problem is hers and not yours you did nothing wrong.
Just imagine all us bootsers going in that branch and boxing her ears! That should make you feel better.:rotfl:

    Hugs to you ((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))))))
Hope you feel better soon, and as liverbird suggested look up "Look Good Feel better" and see if you can book a session. Its great fun and I too got £100 + worth of goodies. It would be something to look forward to.

    Take care
    xx

Edited to add ,well done on calling CS ,lets hope action is taken!
