  • Hi

For anyone in Edinburgh, Ocean Terminal branch had Ted Baker 'Nomadic Ted' travel sets in their clearance section for £3.97. Unfortunately, I haven't seen these before so I don't know how £3.97 compares to the original price but seemed ok to me. They had a few of them left. Not much else to report from there though except UG shampoo and conditioner £2.44 a bottle - loads of that left.

well managed to get to boots today and picked up one of the no7 compack foundation thingys lol but rest of shop was terrible decided to get some extra nappies whilst the baby event is on and 342 tried to use my £5 off £10 spend which th SA refused to even try when i explained i had spent over £10 she informed me very loudly that i was already getting one packet of nappies for nothing due to the 342 and did i want itall free the sales assistant next to her started to snigger and it took all my energy not to break down in cry there and then (emotional wreck recently lol) i said i would leave them then and she replyed "ive seen you in here often trying to con the tills" at which my friend stepped in and said in a quite tone that i had recently started treatment for cancer and this was first shopping trip in boots since way before xmas, i feel so low now and upset that the behaviour of one lady can ruin what was being a positive step for me.
Sorry to rant here -- on plus note im please with my little bits which included some med body range stuff reduced down to 50p but went through with another 20% off:j

I'm gobsmacked - what on earth gives any sales assistant the right to say stuff like that to their customers????? I'd have asked for her name and then written a letter of complaint to her store manager and CS head office. I really don't think Mr B would be happy to hear his SA's are humiliating his customers  . Thats the way to keep people coming back to shop - NOT.

I know Lancome isn't a cheap range, but if you buy it anyway then there's a very good offer online at the moment.

Thanks for that - how do you manage to find these though? I am always looking and only ever come up with individual items with the premium beauty - I search by promotion - but still don't get anywhere! Thanks in advance :D

I know what you mean, It's painfully difficult to look at the premium ranges, they all seem to have their own website within the boots one, and dont seem to show prices . I've also found that the price shown on the boots site is different to the one shown on the premium beauty (lancome, clarins, etc) site within Boots iyswim.

Anyway, I thought it was all a bit pants and gave up my search. Although if I had successfully trawled through all the lancome stuff it is unlikely I would have bought it as too pricey, although the gwp bag is lush - I was admiring it in Boots today.
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

Mooncups and shopping trolleys - am I on the right thread? ;):p

Popped in Boots yesterday and was so bored with virtually all the current offers. Especially the men's - nothing of interest.

Mr B - sort your crap offers, mate!

Lollyred1 - goodness what a horrible SA - someone like that really shouldn't be allowed to work in a store!! I'm so glad you had the courage to contact CS - altho you shouldn't have had to - I know its been said before BUT it is MrB who thought up the idea of the ADVANTAGE Card system & who gives us the vouchers in the first place afterall!! Makes my blood boil really it does!! Bottom line is if the till say 'yes' then Mr B is saying yes!!

Firstly Lollyred, so sorry to hear about your horrible sa. I think everyone else has summed up quite well exactly how we all feel about her, glad to hear you have spoke to cust serv and their taking it seriously.

My .com delivery still hadnt turned up when I left work tonight but as I got around the corner saw the home delivery network van drive past me :o, I decided not to go back as it'll be something worth going to work for on monday!

I managed a great days bootsing today, I got the Natural Collection bath pillow for 50p, Amazon brazil nut scrub for £1, body butter for 66p and body wash for 66p :j I got the same set of 3 items in the almond and pistachio and bergamot, olive & walnut. Also got Mediteranean wonderbalm for 33p! All of these were marked up clearance at 33% more than I paid but because of the current offer got them cheaper. They all had clearance stickers on and a marker line through the barcode but lovely sa scanned the clearance ticket, then the barcode and that way it came up still as the correct items not just a generic clearance item. They had the Sanctuary Sento gift set which is £9.79 on .com for £2.50 and Sento scrub (I think?) in the glass jars for £2.44.

Id only gone to get sweeteners for work as that way I get a 'free' perkie and they were just putting all of these on the shelf. They were marking loads of Veet products to £1 and just realised on .com these are buy one, get one half price so would have been a great deal. (dont know why I think this really as due to my alopecia I very rarely have to shave my legs, but it was on clearance so I MUST need it :rotfl:)

Luckily it was my favourite sa and she let me put everything through in £5 lots and even gave me two perkies with one lot because whe'd ripped two off and let me have both. I got a survey too and apparently 2 people have won from that store, im off to fill it in now so wish me luck!
