Hi everyone - finally caught up!! Phew!! SandraScarlett I truly love your posts - they really are inspiring & I would love to jump aboard the virtual tour bus with you and Dee! Had to laugh at your mention of the 'Granny trolley' - have to admit I had to get one for myself - its very pretty - purple with lovely flowers on but a couple of my friends won't be seen with me if I'm using it!! LOL!! Could be cos we're in our 30s!! Needs must though as I've been diagnosed with FM which is a form of rheumatism & I find it difficult to carry anything especially now I've discovered Bootsing & as you say a few spray cans & tubs of things are heeeeavvvvy!!

Sorry to snip - the rest of your post was interesting but I am most interested in this bit!!

Where did you get your fancy granny trolley from? I am in my 30's and just want to make shopping a bit easier and can't be whiffed with being embarrassed!!!!:D

    TIA xx

    Hiya Popkins,

Lol@ your shock! Haha...that's what I originally thought when I first heard of them.
Here is the official Mooncup site, which has loads of info, v good site I reckon.

I have one and have used it, takes a little bit of time getting used to the folding method and insertion and I wasn't totally trusting of it at first but it is a very good effective product. (By folding I mean you need to fold the wide area in half then half again, then you insert and it pops open again forming a seal)
I can just imagine your new  face at this point so I think I'll stop with the explanations now. :rotfl:

I don't use mine all the time as tbh I find it awkward unless Im at home.

On topic :D;) I received my Boots order just now in a small, well packed box!!! I was very pleasantly surprised...see Boots HO really do read our comments! :T

thanks jellybaby & Belldancer for your replies - jellybaby you imagined my face just right!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

have looked at the website & I kinda like the idea but it is pretty scarey too!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oooh sorry - crossed posts there - thankyou to Bigbargainbrummy for your response as well !!

Hiya - I actually bought it from a shop in Sutton (Surrey) & it was about £12 - not a well known high street store just one of those shops that sell EVERYTHING - they had one the same as mine in black & white flowers that were nice & pink ones too that were a bit smaller than mine for about £8. Its really funny cos quite often when I'm out I end up with a huddle of 'grannies' around me cos they think its sooo pretty - compared to theirs which are usually boring plain black or navy or something! :rotfl:

I love mine tho - & cos its purple it matches my lovely purple jacket so I'm all colour co-ordinated too...
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :j :j :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ooooh and I agree - I can't be whiffed with being embarrassed either - that made me laugh!! I recently trundled around Bluewater with it and my friend that I was with was mightily happy when after she'd been struggling for a while with her bags I said 'would you like to put your stuff in my trolley'!! LOL!! then she didn't think it was so funny but fabulous!!

LOL @ all the Mooncup talk! Someone mentioned it a few pages back and I looked it up and was like :rotfl:

I was wondering if someone could help please? As I posted earlier, I lost my AC so was wondering if extra points (through ACM vouchers etc) are credited to receipts for later validation or if you only get the points from your spend? I don't want my Extracts vouchers to run out before I get a new card

    Thanks in advance!:Tx

    Hi Miss Bailey

I bought some things that had extra acm points on them but my card wouldn't work when the sa put it in the reader, so she told me to hang onto my receipt and also gave me back the acm voucher just in case the extra points wouldnt go on. When I finally got a new card the points went on fine so you should be ok. hth

There's a thread here on MSE about Mooncups which might help anyone considering buying one

Exactly - sense over image any day! If Paris Hilton started using one they would suddenly be the in thing - can't really see that though:rotfl:

Right, am going to be on the case and if I track one down will let you know! It needs to be a funky one though - no black for me, if your going to be seen at 35 with a shopping trolley you might as well be SEEN:D

Thanks to eveyone who answered my delivery to store message. :T
Without giving too much away. I have phoned the store and CS. Package not there.
My despatch email says available in store within 2 days, CS says its 3 days.
But Some stores dont have daily deliveries, so it can take upto a week depending on the store. 8 days later still no text :p

So basically it all depends on what day you order, which screen CS is looking at, the size of the store, and whether or not Tuesday falls on a Saturday this Month. I will stick to delivery to home in future. ;)

  • Hi all, silly question from a newbie to this thread - could someone tell me what some of the abbreviations you all use mean? ACM, GWP, Perkies? I am trying to get to grips with Bootsing!

The ones above are Gift With Purchase = GWP
    Advantage Card Machine = ACM
Perkies = the purple voucher given out with a spend over £5.00 which can be exchanged for cheap/free no7/ruby&millie stuff

But, read the first two posts - all on there and a wealth of usefull info!!;)

You will be the one answering posts like this before long when you are a boots expert!!!
