I placed an order on Monday and had an email today to say it's waiting for me

    HTH

Thanks Munchkin, maybe it depends on the store and if they have daily deliveries. Looks like mine will take 9 days in total.

Nine days? That's barmy. I think the memory card things only took a couple of days in my case Polls.

(Just looked at how nonsensical some of my sentences are appearing, so time I hit the sack I think)

Have a great day tomorrow peeps :D xxx

lolly, do you know if your local hospital has alternative therapies available? Where I live patients can benefit from, relaxation and pampering sessions. In fact one of the lovely SA from my local goes along as a volounteer, and does Indian head massage, and make up sessions.

It could do you a power of good, to have that little bit of extra pampering. Pity you didn't live nearer, I would have come and done some for you. I have all the stuff (from Boots of course)

You're absolutely right there of course Passion. If you give several things that might have only cost a total of £2, but are actually worth £20, that could be a problem.

I'm even having to stop myself giving birthday gifts that cost next to nothing, but are worth £20, cos some people are so embarrassed. If I know them well, I do it, but tell them that I "had a bit of luck in the sales"!!

And I say the same when I give my cheer-up pressies - otherwise I think that peeps might feel obligated to buy you something costing the same, and actually spend that sort of money!

    xx

Hiya sandra + passion + everyone else.

Thanks for all the lovely replies I've had ...:A ....regarding teachers gifts.
Like I said I normally give teachers a box of chocs each.. but their getting a Boots pamper hamper each this year :D
I needed ideas, cos I didn't want to give too less, but I am always known to go overboard... with everyones presents lol :rotfl: so needed a rough guess as to what would be appropriate :A

I did my lovely a friend the same pamper hamper gift that I will give to teachers, but with an extra s+g item as well.. it was a "cheer up" gift .. + I gave her it today .. she was very happy with it :j

Didn't go Bootsing today as was decorating DS1's room.. so need to go soon :D

I don't want to be responsible for peeps staying up every night for a week (remember 14th January!!!!) but I've had a thought. There are still some of the Christmas things on dot com, that I had in my Favourites.

Every so often I play about, putting 10 of this, and 20 of that in my virtual basket. Actually I don't want anything, I just want to see if they're in stock, and the price.

Well, if these things have a 250 points voucher, that will be out of date at the end of March, what do you think will happen to the gift sets?

I just wondered if perhaps they are keeping them till Mothers Day has been and gone, and then they may be reduced to 75%, .......... or even 90%? If anyone has anything in their Favourites, that they really really want at a reduced price, it might be a good idea to keep a very close look out on dot com. ;)

For me, the joy is going out with my suitcase and saying to my DH "I'm only taking this to carry my bottle of water, umbrella, brag book, and Dee's and in case I should spot a heavy bargain!" - and then finding them!

    xx
    Sandra
I was wondering the same thing too. I've been keeping an eye on the Country Living hampers as a friend from this board has told me that some of the items in hers have a BBD of the end of February, I was hoping they would quietly be reduced and I would be able to grab one. Alas, I've just checked again and they have vanished from the site, despite showing 27 in stock for weeks now.
Methinks they must have been sold off to the dot com staff or are now languishing in a corner in Beckton. :(

Also Lolly, most hospitals run a 'Look good, Feel good' day for people who have had/going through chemotherapy. Just ask your local McMillan Nurse about it. Its a lovely day where you learn how to put make up on, have lunch, chat.... you are then given your box of make up to take home with you. I got over £150 worth, including MF, Clinique, Mac, Estee Lauder, Clarins.

Miss Bailey - If you phone CS and tell them that you lost it, they will transfer the points onto a new card and issue a replacement. Takes a while, but at least you'll get your points back :) You can use a temporary card in the meantime - CS will link this to your replacement and you can pick the points in the ACM when you get your real one. cel x

Yep, I remember the kitchen equipment bit :) They used to have a record department, too, and I bought my first ever single there (which I still have somewhere lol).

Me too. It was a Republica album *hangs head in shame*

Thanks AM I won't be using it again, I ordered for store a week ago, and its still not in.
It may be worth ringing to check. I did an order in Jan and it was in the store waiting for me but someone hadn't scanned the parcel properly when it arrived there so the email/text alert didn't get sent. Was in the shop anyway so thought I'd ask and lo and behold there it was. The SA was lovely and said she would investigate why someone hadn't done their job properly. As she scanned it on the till a text arrived almost immediately saying my parcel was ready for collection, funny that ;)
