Thanks SandraScarlett, Jazzteddy and Celyn90 for your responses :D

I didn't have too many points on it. I lose things all the time and hadn't bothered to replace it but have recently started Bootsing after becoming addicted to this forum. The ridiculous thing is I've got 7 or 8 receipts in my purse totalling over 300 points that I was going to validate last night and I lost the new card before I had the chance! The saying 'You'd lose your head if it wasn't screwed on' was invented for me I think!:o

I'm going to ring and check now but I'll order a new one (again!) if they haven't got it.

Forgot to say last night, Cardiff had lots of H&B mags - not that I could get one without the flamin' card!:rotfl:

It may be worth ringing to check. I did an order in Jan and it was in the store waiting for me but someone hadn't scanned the parcel properly when it arrived there so the email/text alert didn't get sent. Was in the shop anyway so thought I'd ask and lo and behold there it was. The SA was lovely and said she would investigate why someone hadn't done their job properly. As she scanned it on the till a text arrived almost immediately saying my parcel was ready for collection, funny that ;)

Hi, I would call the store too, like munchkin said the parcel may be at the store waiting to be picked up and they have failed to contact you. My despatch note states......We will hold your order for 14 days from the agreed collection date, after which time your parcel will be sent back to our warehouse and you will be refunded. hope this helps and good luck. I too am waiting for a delivery to store and A BIG thanks to the poster who wrote about the santuary glitch I'm soooo excited, I cannot wait to pick it up.....when it arrives. :)

Hi everyone - finally caught up!! Phew!! SandraScarlett I truly love your posts - they really are inspiring & I would love to jump aboard the virtual tour bus with you and Dee! Had to laugh at your mention of the 'Granny trolley' - have to admit I had to get one for myself - its very pretty - purple with lovely flowers on but a couple of my friends won't be seen with me if I'm using it!! LOL!! Could be cos we're in our 30s!! Needs must though as I've been diagnosed with FM which is a form of rheumatism & I find it difficult to carry anything especially now I've discovered Bootsing & as you say a few spray cans & tubs of things are heeeeavvvvy!!

Sorry back on topic - my bootsing from yesterday

    Reigate store:
popped back to pick up a few things I'd got on Tues as in hindsight had realised what GREAT bargains they were - alas most had gone & the clearance shelf was a bit bare - I wonder if any of you ladies skiddadled down there after my post? No matter still managed to pick up another 4 of the Gillette Shaving Gels for 64p each - still left some on the shelf. Also got 2 more of the Johnsons Shower&Shave cream at 56p each. Then also got x2 Pregnancy test at £1 each (normally £3.91) and a Mouth Ulser Treatment at £1 each. Also got Vicks cough syrup for my hubby at £1.00 (norm £3.82). Didn't get any No7 as New Ivory oos. Didn't mind too much as was planning to go to Guildford anyway.

    Guildford store:
As I mentioned in my post yesterday the clearance was pretty rubbish - there was quite a lot of stuff there but not the usual things we look for and I'm not really sure they were true bargains - think they'd just put clearance stickers on the items but for a few pence less than normal price iykwim! Mens electric shavers and stuff. So left all that - ooh just remembered there were some '17' little makeup sets (on a separate stand) for £1 each I think - could be useful as gifts for teenage girls. So then went to the No7 section & did 2 transactions & got No7 Bath soak @ £7.80 used perkie so £2.80 and No7 Sperfect compact @ £6.34 used perkie so £1.34 to pay. I was a little cheeky & tried to put that lovely mirror with purple bag (previous pictured on here) through with a perkie but no go the till beeped & the SA said I think its because its a reduced item so won't work! I put it back but really would like one so may try again!! pleased with the compact - I know others have got it cheaper but tbh £1.34 still really cheap!!

    Epsom store:
As I was a bit disappointed scooted over to Epsom store where I got the following:

    Transaction 1:
    3pk prink frill baby socks - £4.00
2pk red frill baby socks - £3.00 reduced to £1.50 on the BOGOHP
FCUK Bronzer with tan enhancer - £0.80p
    Total to pay £6.30
    earnt perkie

    Transaction 2:
No7 Gentle renewing no grains exfoliator - £4.80 (altho SEL said £3.80)
    No7 cooling face aftersun - £1.95
Used perkie so £1.25 to pay

    Transaction 3:
    No7 Anti-ageing pre-holiday serum - £1.95 (have checked receipt & been charged £3.93 for this!!)
    No7 Radience revealed exfoliator - £3.80
to pay should have been £5.75
used perkie so 75p to pay
In actual fact I paid £2.73!!

    Transaction 4:
    Panadol extra 32 - £3.67
Rimmel lipliner from clearance shelf - £1.00
    Anti Bac Wipes - 0.97p
    Total to pay £5.64
    earnt perkie

Will pop out again later to Epsom although quite fancy going to Maidstone... I too remember when the store there was over the 2 floors & they had the record section.... ahhhh them were the days!!

thats if from me today - ooh just 1 thing & sorry if off topic but what on earth are 'mooncups'?!!!!!

Me too. It was a Republica album *hangs head in shame*

    :rotfl:

You're embarassed? Mine was a Jimmy Osmond single - "I'm gonna knock on your door" :o Still, my sister bought a Lena Zavaroni single at the same time, which I think was worse :rotfl:

At least my choice of single proves I had a love of 1950s music even at that young age

oooh sorry just one other thing! didn't want to add to my prev post tho as it was soooo long - again sorry!!! walks away muttering 'I must edit myself'... altho can't seem to do it in real life so not sure its poss in print either!!

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I posted that I had received a No7 GWP & chose the mens version but when I got it home the 250 points voucher was expired. Well anyway at the time I phoned CS & was told that I needed to post it back to them with a note explaining details etc. I was going to do this but then saw on here that this happened to some other people & when they phoned CS were just awarded the points, so I thought I would ring again & see if I got a different answer - so I rang last week and the CS person I spoke to said she would send me out another - me thinking ok don't know why you don't just award the points but if you want to send me another 250 points voucher that'll work for me. Well it arrived yesterday & guess what? it was nicely tucked up in one of the ladies GWP!!! Imagine my surprise! not that I reeeeeally need it as already have a few but hey ho another 'hamper' gift to add to my stash!!

Sorry not exactly a grabbit but just had to let you know as was so unexpected & pleasing!

    Hiya Popkins,

Lol@ your shock! Haha...that's what I originally thought when I first heard of them.
Here is the official Mooncup site, which has loads of info, v good site I reckon.

I have one and have used it, takes a little bit of time getting used to the folding method and insertion and I wasn't totally trusting of it at first but it is a very good effective product. (By folding I mean you need to fold the wide area in half then half again, then you insert and it pops open again forming a seal)
I can just imagine your new  face at this point so I think I'll stop with the explanations now. :rotfl:

I don't use mine all the time as tbh I find it awkward unless Im at home.

On topic :D;) I received my Boots order just now in a small, well packed box!!! I was very pleasantly surprised...see Boots HO really do read our comments! :T

I've seen plenty of people recommend them when the subject has come up on other forums. £21.99 may seem expensive, but they are reusable and last for years, and when you compare that to how much you'd spend over the same time on disposable products, it's actually cheap
  • I use a Mooncup!!
Have done for around 2 years. Original outlay seems expensive but I have not had to buy any other products for 2 years whereas I used to spend £4-5 per month.
Gross to think about but are really good.
I may have lupus but it doesnt make me useless! I am a true believer in Karma, and am a typical cancerian. I have a hard outside, but am mushy on the inside.:o
