Is there any way of requesting a review without writing about it yourself, I think if you suggest a product the dooyoo team expect you to write about it, but is there anything you can do if there is a product you would like to see written about but haven't used or bought yourself?0

LOL never thought of that one before! Not really no. Not something dooyoo have taken into account before.0 -
I think that raises a really good point. We all put in suggestions of things we want to write about but that doesn't really have the consumer in mind...I'm sure half of the things I write about have very little interest to anyone! I think dooyoo should start taking suggestions from people who don't want to write the review but want to read it.0

I think something like this HAS been suggested before but it really went no-where. There was a perceived issue with the integrity of reviews that would be generated amongst other issues.
I'll happily raise the matter again though.0 -
ok one more question,
is it still the case that you must reach 55,000 miles before you can get a £50 cheque or have they stopped charging the £5 admin fee now?
im glad other people thought that could be interesting to do (re my previous question) because sometimes you think oh i wish there was a review on that product and there are people who own or use it but it hadn't occured to them to write about it0 -

There's now no admin fee for cash redemptions so just 50,000 miles required.
I've also raised the issue of "wish lists" on the guide forum and the response so far has been positive. There's no word from Dooyoo though and won't be until the week starts!0 -
How much can you make per week by doing it sensibly?
Maybe 2 reviews per day..0 -
Depends on how active you are around the site and how good your reviews are.
For every review that I write I get around 50 reads so that means that I'm getting around £1.25 per review that I write. Then if it's really good and gets a crown that's another £1.50.
It can take a while to get that many reads though.
I write a couple of reviews a week (usually between 1 and 4) and rate a lot so if you're writing more reviews don't expect to get so many reads for each one.0 -

Hi.
Im not particularly clear on this but will try to add some ideas here:
Generally if you want to write a review on something you just put the product or service in the location bar and see what comes up. Dooyoo is a small company and therefore has a growing database compared to other review sites. Therefore if the product or service isn't listed, look up other sites to see reviews on there if they appear. Then you have the product youre looking for. The thing to remember though is that Dooyoo is a product experience site based on products that buyers shop/buy/have experience of.
What you share may not necessarily be something you think will be read by many members, but give it time and it will be read by other members.
If however there was a list of products or services that consumers didn't want to write reviews on, I think the whole idea would run away with itself. You may as well end up reading reviews from other members, which is part of the Dooyoo idea anyway.0 -
I'd like to make a suggestion in light of something I tried to do earlier.
I tried to put together a post to answer Ninja Seb's question from earlier because I've made a post before that I think answered that query, except I couldn't find that post to either link to or cut and paste (at least not in the few minutes I had spare).
My suggestion, therefore, is this:
Each of us finds our own posts that are helpful and we PM the link to barongreenback who's currently the original poster of this thread. Baron can update his original post with a series of Dooyoo FAQs and links to various answers that might help anyone that comes to the thread looking for advice plus has the added benefit of reducing the amount of questions that's asked time and again.
Or we can do it the other way around and formulate a list of FAQs, then find the posts we think answers those queries.
Your thoughts?
