10% off Focus - some stores all the time, others just Tuesdays - have to show ID (passport?).
Also, leisure centre is cheaper; and NI contributions stop (unsure if this is just women?), but, if you're still working then that is a nice little bonus every month.0 -
Drivers license! Just a chuckle from B & Q....... we shopped there for something, not on a Wednesday discount day, and realised that we wouldnt get the discount. "never mind" said the helpful assistant, "just get a new card from the counter, fill it in and use it- you can do that any day on a new card- then destroy it when you get home" ..........done that a few times since, always got the discount on non discount days!!!!!!!!!:T0

Women cease to be subject to NI deductions from age 60 because that is their state pension age at the moment. Therefore equivalent age for men means they have to wait till 65.0 -

Hi everyone, I went into Boots last week and gave them my advantage card and joined the Health Club which gives you they told me ten per cent off everything you buy automatically when you give your card with any future purchases, if you are over 60. They did not ask for proof, however, as I am 71 they probably did not need to ask!!
They also gave me a half price sunglasses voucher and five pounds off certain cosmetic products, I needed some new sunglasses so went over to the other side of the shop with my voucher. I bought a pair for £25, but then they took off ten per cent as well, so they cost me £11.25 so that was all right. Very pleased. They then gave me another voucher for half price sunglasses because I had spent more than ten pounds. Gave that to my son.
Best wishes, oap0 -

Just to make things clear- its only Boots own products that you get the 10%off. This is still an amazing offer especially if you take into account you are also getting 4% worth of advantage points.Born to shop;)0 -
And that includes their brands of No7, 17, Soltan and so on - not just those marked "Boots"0

Oh thanks for that, well I had not realised it was just Boots own brand, so will have a look each time I purchase something, I suppose its to make you choose Boots own brand. I did get ten per cent off my Dial sunglasses, so presume they are made for Boots. Cheers , oap0

Probably lots of people already know this but I discovered today for the first time that Holland & Barrett do 10% off on Tuesdays and Thursdays - its for women over 60 and men over 65!
You do not get a discount on any purchase that is reduced or on special offer.0 -
I'm not 60 yet but I get 10% off any day (excluding special offer items) because I am a member of the vegetarian society. We spend quite a lot in there on supplements that are never included in the sales, so my membership more than pays for itself.
It costs £8 for under 16's, £16 unwaged , £21 individual and £26 for a family of 4. You also get discounts at various other health shops and vegetarian restaurants and a regular magazine.
