Yes, forgot that. A letter and application form should be automatically sent by post for completion. I think you need to be 60 before September of the relevant claim year.0 -

In my area, you pay half fees for Adult Ed courses when you are 60. Also you can reserve a book at the library half price too. I no longer buy books; instead I read reveiws etc and reserve them at the library. I often get brand new books to read as a result. Public libraries are wonderful and vastly under rated.0

I actually had to claim mine (or at least ask for an application form). If my memory serves correct they wont send you an application form if your birthday falls late in the year, (around september) you have to remember the following year.

If you still have your own teeth and are on Pension Credit Guarantee Credit, why not celebrate by getting your gnashers refurbished on the NHS?

Plus turning into a grumpy, cynical old git!!!
I don't think you automatically qualify for free prescriptions. Looked it up and it appears you have to be on pension credit. Same applies to dental work. If you're very very very poor, the state will pay but if you can afford the price of a loaf of bread then, unlucky mate, you're on your own. All courtesy of a caring government of course!0 -
