I have been viewing MSE for years and have just registered now to post comments because of your post.
You must report this vile person to the police. Someone who can kill an animal like that is dangerous. At some point during their life they WILL turn their aggression towards people.
I have two beloved moggies, one ours from 10 weeks, one who decided to live with us.

Personally, I think there is a difference, but let's not de-rail this thread with a debate about it here

...it is not fair on the OP who needs support after this terrible event.

Perhaps you could start another thread if you wish to discuss animal rights, as I feel that it is a broader issue than appropriate fr this thread?

I think fc is correct, the OP needs support in her specific case.

Its my fault - Im sorry if I took this off on a tangent but after reading some of those stories my blood was boiling.

OMG - just found this thread! That's awful. Big hugs Kate - I hope they get him, I really do!!! I do wonder sometimes what the world has become whereby a human being even for a milisecond believes that's an okay thing to do! It makes me sick. If he could do that to an innocent creature - what's he going to move on to next.
